I wish they made a version with a bigger screen that was at a similar price point

It's a good e-reader, works ten times better than use cellphone to read ebooks.

I didn't like the new Kindle Paperwhite as well as the old Kindle Keyboard that I have. The new Kindle has too many ads. Viewing the list of books was very awkward. You could either look at your collections or your entire list of books. On the old Kindle there were no ads and you could view your collection along with those book that weren't yet in a collection. Also, if you removed a book from the old Kindle, you no longer saw it. On the new Kindle I removed a book, but it still showed up in the list. I remove books I don't want to read for whatever reason. I don't always remember the names of these books. On the new Kindle those book titles still show up, so you begin reading them again only to discover that its the book you don't want. It was very confusing. The only thing I liked about the new Kindle was the fact that the screen was backlit so you could read at night without extra lighting. There were more cons than pros for me, so I ended up returning the new Kindle Paperwhite and sticking with my old Kindle Keyboard.

I purchased this for my mother who has very limited eyesight. She loves it and can read again. It has changed her life for the better and mine because she likes me slightly more than she did before I bought it. Worth it!!

Although I like the backlit feature, there are many things I do not like. The tap to turn the page is very pressure sensitive. Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes it jumps 2 or more pages. Also it is not well documented how to access my existing library from my old kindle. How to use your new Kindle is not very user friendly.

Water proof! My girl loves it! Easy on her eye due to her stigma. Straight in use since she opened it!

I tried another E-Reader at the beach and couldn't read the type. I noticed a women using a different reader which I could see the content from 10 feet away. I asked her what reader she had and she raved about the Kindle Paperwhite. I went out and ordered it that night and love it.

Wonderful device! If you love reading, this is better than any general Kindle device. You can read in virtually any lighting conditions. Several customization options with text size and brightness. Highly recommended!

Such an enjoyable device for reading books. This is definitely easier for your eyes when reading for a long period of time. It is so thin and easy to hold but I still bought a case to ease my mind. Highly recommend!

Good battery life. Lightweight and came with several months of free Kindle Unlimited.

This was a gift for my wife and she's really enjoyed it so far. Her old Paperwhite still works fine, but it's getting laggy (cpu power issue) and is a bit heavier too. She seems to be reading even more now and now puts off reading paper versions in favor of the Kindle.

Love the e-ink. Much easier on the eyes than iPad or iPhone. No distractions (notifications, etc).

I purchased this Kindle as a upgrade for my husband. I thought it was a little small, but he loves it. He likes the brightness of the paperwhite as oppose to the original Kindle. I really recommend a case for it as it is a little slippery.

Awesome device, why didnt I get this before? The associate at Victorville's Best Buy was very knowledgable and beyond patient explaining to me how great this Kindle is. He couldnt of been more right. Thanks Best Buy Victorville...6 stars

This review doesn't say that the Kindle isn't good. Just not easy for my mom. My mom wanted to try this. She checked into price of books, but didn't realize that the low prices she was viewing were if you joined for a monthly fee. She didn't want to pay monthly so we returned it.
