We have purchesed readers for all our children and they love them. It was easy to set up with the library to the kids can checkout digital copies. We have the kindle subscription but not really worth it when you can link to a library.

Two large counties in Florida could not offer ebooks for Paperwhite Kindles. (Sumter & Marion) Lake county offered service! They used Overdrive which works with the Paperwhite.

Works exactly as I expected. I think you know exactly what an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader is and I really don't think you need my review, but I get 25 BBY points for making a review, so here it is. Why are you even reading this?

This is a great way to get away from a computer screen or a tablet and read without straining your eyes. This is also my favorite travel item. I can also load PDFs on here which is a plus especially when I’m reading lengthy docs for work.

Love, love, love it. Always thought I would rather read a book that I could feel and touch and turn the paper pages rather than an electronic version. This e-reader has totally changed my mind. Absolutely love it1

This is my 4th Kindle I have purchased. It is my favorite so far. I don’t like reading on my phone or tablet due to the brightness. This is much easier on the eyes. The battery lasts well with moderate reading, but it does charge quickly. Easy to hold.

Absolute game changer. I erroneously thought that reading on a paperwhite would be a similar experience to reading in an iPad or Kindle Fire. Reading on the paperwhite is much closer to reading a paper book than a tablet.

Enjoy the readability of it. The compactness. Great for travel and at home use. At an age where I dont want to collect books except favorites, this allows me to access of great books with out having to collect them.

Gifted to a relative, I have the previous version myself. Love how easy it is to set up out of the box. Very responsive and there is little lag. Very easy to track shipment after purchase and came quickly to us.

The best thing is it doesn't strain the eyes. Great eReader.

I was hesitant on purchasing kindle (already owned a Nook). I did some research pre purchasing and found out I could download books from my Public library, how convenient! I’ve owned it for a month and I’m loving it!

Negatives first. It isn’t forward thinking, so still USB-B (Mini) instead of USB-C and so that means fiddling when charging. Doesn’t include a charger cord and wall plug-in, despite base price now being higher than on older models while the overall design appears to mainly reuse the older hardware. Screen feels like plastic with no oleophobic coating (such as on most phones), which mimics paper to some extent but also means more smudges. Bezels are still large, and the Amazon cases still further add to the size. In all, while an upgrade over the last Paperwhite it is minor. If not for the sale I would not have picked it up, a used last gen is just as good (water resistance aside).

I downsized from reading ebooks on my tablet, It is light, seems to hold a charge well. My only criticism is that the "on screen operating manual" is not very intuitive. It took a lot of trial and error to learn to use the features. Basically, it takes a little getting used to it, but I am happy I went to a smaller, lighter device.

It's the right size to fit in my pocket.Perfect for on the go reading.

I bought this kindle for me. I read a lot and I’m running out of room for paper books. It is good. But I find it a bit annoying when the pages flicker or blurs out. It takes some getting use to it. But in the positive way, easy to store, carry.

I used to be a physical book reader only!! This Kindle seems like I am reading straight out of a book, and since I can carry it anywhere I have read more books this year than I normally would have.

This is the latest Generation of paperwhite kindle which I bought for my friend on her 75th birthday. It`s a fantastic product whereby she can adjust and see the print in all conditions.

As expected good product could have been a little cheaper

This was a present for a high school student who takes advanced literature classes. He has lots of books on hand without carrying them around. He thought it was a great present.
