Best case that I've ever owned. The leather feel is lovely. The color is true to what you see on the photo. The inside has a cloth like feel to it and the kindle paper white fits perfectly in the case. I dont see any finger prints or oil spots on the case, which I'm happy about. The kindle goes into sleep when the case is closed and wakes when opened. The case is very well made, and I highly recommend it.

I delayed purchasing the case because of the color. I had a certificate for $20 off, so was finally persuaded to buy it. I love the perfect fit, auto on off by opening or closing the case, and the ease of attaching it to the Kindle. The case did not increase the size or weight noticeably. Adding some colorful smiley faces helps with visibility no matter where I lay the Kindle. I'm low vision and don't want to lose the case by laying it on a dark surface! My suggestion to the retailer is to carry a variety of colors. The case is perfect in design and function and I highly recommend it!

So pleased with my purchase. My Kindle looks elegant with this leather case. I do not need to press power button anymore. Kindle fits nicely inside the case. The cover be be folded all the way to the back giving sense of a real book. I strongly recommend it.

I ordered a cover that was from an opened box. It was like new and I am very pleased with it. I wasn’t sure about the purple color, but it is really pretty and I am delighted with it.

I had a choice of 3 colors and chose the Purple. The cover is magnetic and stays closed. It fits the Kindle perfectly and is secure. the front cover folds over to the back for easy holding. Very Light weight and comfortable to hold.

The cover fits the device perfectly, no wasted space and negligible weight added. Since it opens like a book, but the front cover also flips all the way back, the cover gives you more options for holding the reader while reading. Buy my favorite feature is that when you close the cover, your book turns off, and when you open the flap, it turns back on--no need to find the ON button and turn it on. Great cover for the Kindle reader at a reasonable price.

The Amazon Paperwhite must be protected if you plan on leaving the house with it. This cover does the job. It fits perfectly and folds back while reading. The Paperwhite turns on and off when opening and closing the cover. It magnetically closes and protects the Paperwhite when placed in a purse or travel bag. Love the purple leather too!

I will often go through at least two or sometimes even three different types of cases for some devices. However, at this point, I cannot imagine ever needing another case to replace this one. Amazon designed an almost perfect case for their equally well designed Kindle Paperwhite in my opinion. I've had this case for about a month now. It provides excellent overall protection for the device. One thing that I love about the Kindle Paperwhite is the lightness, which aids in a great reading experience when holding it for long periods of time. It does add a bit in the way of thickness - the bottom shell is nearly as think as the device itself - but I bought them together, so I really didn't use it much without the case anyway. In fact, I personally think that it makes the Kindle Paperwhite even more comfortable to hold, even with the cover folded around to the back like an paperback book. Again, the thickness of the shell hardly adds any weight, yet the durability of it is excellent. Although I don't intend to test it myself, it seems as though the shell will provide a good amount of shock absorption if the device were dropped onto a hard surface from a height of a couple of feet. The bottom shell fits very snugly onto the device, and I have absolutely no concerns about it loosening over time at all. The Kindle Paperwhite snaps into it easily and securely. It is molded perfectly to fit the device like a wetsuit. However, removing it can prove to be a bit difficult. The only reason I did remove it once, though, was simply to see how well it would work. I would definitely recommend only removing the device from the case if absolutely needed. Even then, you need to do so as carefully as possible to avoid bending and possibly even breaking the device's screen. I have had no reason to remove mine again, though, and I doubt that many others will either for the most part. In fact, there is a nice opening in the shell around the bottom of the device that allows for easy and complete access to the physical controls and input whenever needed. The cover's surface has a nice texture and, although it feels a little more like plastic than leather to me, it is nice to the touch and provides what I think is just the right amount of no-slip grip when holding it. As you can see from any front-side images of the product, the case also has a nice magnetic enclosure on the right side of the cover that keeps it closed when it's not in use. The Kindle Paperwhite goes to sleep automatically when the cover is closed, and springs immediately to life when the cover is opened. This is obviously not the first time that this type of mechanism has been seen on a device like this before, but it's very effective and a welcome design element that enhances the user experience. The inside surface of the cover is soft and provides excellent protection for the screen when closed. So much so that I'm not even considering any type of clear screen protector to add to it. Overall, like the Kindle Paperwhite itself, this case is not 100% perfect. However, I can't imagine anything else out there even coming close. I won't likely find out myself if they do either because I really don't foresee owning any other case for this device. This fact also helped me justify the price. Amazon did a fantastic job of designing the ultimate case for this top-notch e-reader.

Look you spent a good amount on the device, don't get cheap now. Protects your investment, turns off the device (sleep mode) simply by closing the cover. Don't go without a cover and if you do choose a third party cover, make sure the fit is good and that it gives you the simple sleep feature. You'll frustrate yourself of you don't. Again, don't go cheap for the sake of saving a few bucks at the expense of protecting your device and maximizing battery life.

I was hesitant at first to buy this case because it is a little expensive, but I am glad I did because the quality and fit make the price worth it. It helps prevent minor scratches on the surface, and if you are like me, even the tiniest scratch will bother you. I've had my Paperwhite for a few weeks now and bring it around with me in my purse or backpack, and it has been nicely protected in the case. It is easy to put on and is very snug. Although the Paperwhite itself is thin and light, I like the extra thickness the case puts on the Kindle. It makes it feel more like a real book, and does not feel as awkward as when I am holding it up with one hand without the case on. The added feature of waking when opening the cover and sleeping when closing is great for battery conservation too. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and even bought my mom one when I got her her own Paperwhite.

I did a lot of research before I bought this case. Another family member had one for their Paperwhite and was happy with it so I got one too. It is small and lightweight. I like that it shuts the kindle down when it closes. My only wish is that it would have a handle on the back that I could slip my hand into to hold onto it easier.

This cover is a perfect cover for the Kindle Paperwhite. It covers and protects it without taking away from any of the positive features (weight, size, etc.). It also provides a quick way to put the Kindle to sleep (or wake it) since the Kindle recognizes the open/closed state of the cover.

Well constructed and durable case keeps my Paperwhite safe from scratches or damage in my bag. It fits beautifully and my Kindle is ready to use as soon as I open the cover. No more turning on and off each time. Plus, it came in my favorite color so what more could you ask?

It protects the Kindle, shuts it off when closed and brings your books back on to the page you were reading. It is very nice to close when called to dinner and open to your page when you are ready again. Getting books to read at Amazon and other places is extremely easy.

Love this Kindle Whitepaper cover. It's very light weight and sleek - fits nicely in my bag without the bulkyness of other styles. Purple color is great. Front cover folds nicely toward back for easy hand holding.

I did a little research on the cases available for the Kindle Paperwhite, and this was one of the highest rated cases out there, but seemed to be a little more pricey because it was Amazon's brand. So, before I purchased this case, I went with another brand to save a few bucks, which only lasted a month before the "pleather" peeled off the plastic case. Don't make the same mistake I did!!! Buy this one first, and you won't regret it...It's slim, lightweight, has a nice texture, and fits the Paperwhite snug.

I'm someone who hates paying more than I need to for an item, and someone who appreciates things that are well made. This Paperwhite cover is more expensive than other covers, but if you appreciate quality and attention to detail, the price is easily justified. For those things we touch on a daily basis, it's worth getting something that's good quality. Every time I pick up the Kindle, I'm pleasantly reminded of the quality of the case. The case adds very little bulk to the device. It has a very pleasant texture and careful stitching. The side that touches the screen has just the slightest bit of padding, so that it has a little give when you touch it, while the side that touches the back is more stiff. The end result is that it is very easy to tell which side is up. The metal clasp is understated (brushed aluminum) and the Kindle logo is carved into the metal. Again, the clasp makes it easy to determine which way is up and right. This makes the device easy to use in a dark room. When you open the case, again you are reminded of how nicely made this case is. The underside of the clasp is flush with the flannel cloth on the inside of the cover. Every edge is rounded so there are no sharp edges to cut your finger or snag on your clothing. Two rivets hold the clasp in place, and again are flush with both the clasp and the flannel of the inside cover. The clasp will not touch, much less scratch, the Paperwhite tucked into its protective case. It takes a bit of force to snap the Paperwhite into place, but it's not difficult at all. The hard case that holds the paperwhite has a rubberized feel to it -- also giving a premium feel to the cover -- but it also feels strong. The cover and clasp are resistant to fingerprints. The device is easy to charge when in its case. Overall, a high-quality product well suited to a premium device.

This case is of course made specifically for the Kindle Paperwhite, so it fits the reader like a glove. You still have access for charging, but it protects all other areas if the device. It does not make the reader bulky and it's really well made; durable and comfortable! The best feature is that it turns the Kindle off when you close the cover, and wakes it up when you open it. It's more expensive than other covers, but worth the money. I highly recommend it!
