The Amazon - Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 7" - Onyx Black is well worth the money. It fits great, feels great, is very sturdy, and it protects my Kindle very well. The Kindle goes to sleep automatically when the case is shut. The magnet is strong and the case stays closed securely.

This case is the perfect fit for my kindle fire HD. Set up was simple as my kindle snapped right in. Such a perfect fit that the kindle will not slip out of the case…ever. i liked that my device turns on or off upon opening or closing the case cover. This case offers good protection for my kindle, better than the other cases in the store but i thought the price was a bit high. i did not like that it slipped every time i tried to put it in the standing position but this was because my comfort angle was beyond the cases capability. this was not a deal breaker for me….it was simply annoying.

the is a great kindle fire HD cover. It is stiff and protects the kindle in your purse or wherever. Your kindle opens when the case is open and to close it, just shut the cover. It is stiff so you can set it up to watch a movie on a table.

The case provides what I wanted - Protection for the Kindel. It is fitted to the Kindel - unlike many of the other cases that have "rubber bands" holding the Kindel. I spent too much on the Kindel to have it fall out of the case.

This case is perfect for the new Kindle Fire HD. It's not bulky but yet it protects. You can flip it and have it stand and it doesn't slip or anything. The case doesn't block the speakers at all the sounds comes through without sounding muffled. All of the controls and connection points are not blocked at all there's no fumbling or uncovering something to get at the volume controls or to plug it in to charge.

The cover for the Kindle Fire is a great cover to protect the device the only draw back is that it does not fully close. It is suppose to be magnetic to fully close shut but does not.

If you are considering a cheaper sleeve or case for your new Kindle Fire HD, don't bother. Saving an additional $20 is nothing compared to the quality and functionality that this case provides. It snaps in and lives securely in its mold and can be removed quite easily as well. The speakers are not obstructed whatsoever, so the sound is as great as without the case on. The Kindle is protected and you need not worry about scratches or bumps. The textured leather case is also very fingerprint/dirty hands forgiving. Ickyness just wipes off ever so easily. The sturdy case can be sat in portrait or landscape view with ease and functionality. The best part about this case is the fact that when you open it, the Kindle wakes immediately from it's slumber and when you close it, it returns to its state of power saving rest. This maintains the best possible battery life when not in use. It's a strong build and should last for quite a long time in most situations.

It is the best fitting cover for the Kindle Fire HD 7. It turns on the Kindle when it is opened and turns it off when it is closed. No need to fish for the on/off button and it saves the battery as well. It is small and lightweight. It doesn't add much to the overall size and weight. After, looking at all the other covers, this one seems to me to be the best choice. It doesn't feel like a soft leather as described, it is a leather textured hard case which seems preferable.

A perfect fit for my Kindle Fire HD, protects the device and virtually becomes a part of the tablet. It complements the Kindle, serving as a holder, props it up for horizontal viewing, and puts the tablet in sleep by closing the well fitting cover. The Kindle case actually makes the Kindle a better tool, a more useful tool and I recommend it highly.

Case fits perfectly and does exactly what it says- nothing more, nothing less. Only con but not a big detraction for me is the built-in stand. It could be our fault that we may be trying to "fold" it incorrectly, but it does not really adjust to the viewing angle we want without some outside help to prop it up. Our packaging was damaged when we bought it so we didn't see any instruction on how to use it.

I like the fact that the cover is very lightweight. It seems fairly durable, although the seam between the front and back cover seems like it might wear or rip over time. I love the magnetic open/close with automatic on and off. Convenient charging and access to speakers, volume, and power buttons. Very stylishand professional. Covers I have had previously were much thicker, so I was initially hesitant, but so far I have been very satisfied, and would buy again in the future.

This is a great case for the Kindle Fire HD. It fits like a glove but doesn't obscure the buttons or ports on the unit. The front cover flips over so you can watch videos or read books in landscape mode (sorry, no portrait option) and it's very lightweight. I loved it so much that I bought another one for my gf when she got her Kindle HD.

This product has put up with quite a beating from my nephew and the stitching is still holding up! Good job amazon.

This is an excellent case for the Kindle Fire HD which I chose to give as a gift. I was a bit turned off by the price but it happens to be a very elegant, durable, and great-looking case which turns out to be worth the investment. Would certainly recommend this product to Kindle Fire Hd owners.

Expensive for just a case, but sturdy and comfortable to hold

Love the "stand by feature" just by closing the case and I love how it goes on..No tiny straps holding it in, it stays on and in place. It seems to be very durable so far. It would be nice if there were more than 2 colors, but it works for me. I Highly recommend this case.

This is the second Amazon case I have purchased for our second Kindle Fire HD. This case does not add much bulk to the unit, fits perfectly, and it puts the unit to sleep when closed. It seems to offer good protection against any hardship my seven year old or I have given it.
