Great CPU, easy to install. Definitely worth the upgrade

I bought this cpu in order to upgrade from a Ryzen 5 5500 and it was worth every penny. After updating my bios and making sure my motherboard was compatible, it was pretty straight forward to install. Also came with the stock cooler with thermal paste on it. Highly recommend this cpu to anyone on the fence about it. Easy and painless order online and pickup in store.

I was looking to stay in the AM4 branch of socket sets due to the Ram shortage and prices being crazy high as of this review. I paired this with a new RTX 5070 for a bit of an upgrade of my current build. I will say it is a night and day difference! The CPU has more than enough power for my 1080p gaming specs and does very well when bumped to 2K also! I have been playing quite a bit of battlefield 6 and saw quite the improvement of more stable frames of both this and the graphics card listed above! I will say the fan that comes with this CPU is a bit on the louder side but it keeps the temps very manageable and I have no worries of overheating. Just be aware if you’re somebody who isn’t huge on fan noise, consider a third party cooler. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and am thrilled to see my PC running how it was during the COVID era of games!

Runs hot, but for the price it’s unmatched. Stock cooler is ok, but will be upgrading that soon. Otherwise, easy install and great performance.

Have been using AMD for a while now. This was actually kind of a future proof buy, but it is worth it. With the right GPU you just drop it in and away you go. Just as a precaution make sure your cooling is on point. Keeping everything running smoothly is essential.

This chip works like a dream, fast, stays cool, and it can handle a lot. My old cpu was slowing down and was old and it was time for an upgrade. This was definitely worth the money consider if you’re looking for a copy that won’t break the bank.

Love it, needed a cheap but worthwhile upgrade before my am5 upgrade later this year. Runs fantastic has good temps and gaming looks great on it. If you have Am4 and don’t wanna upgrade yet this is a great choice for now.

This cpu has made my computer super zippy. Recently rebuilt an old computer for the first time, used this as the new processor. I am very happy with the product itself, the purchase process and couple questions I had was taken care of very quickly by the best buy employees. Very grateful for their help.

CPU has been a great upgrade from my Ryzen 5 2600. My PC runs smoother and faster. Mine came with a Wraith Cooler and it's fan is pretty loud.

Upgraded from a 2600x. Noticeably difference in PC speeds, also combined with my new 5060 gpu. Editing in 4k is much easier and I do not get as much lag.

Great cpu, rips, stable, more than sufficient for the media we use it for. Havent really pushed, havent needed to, solid proc.

Upgraded from the stable Ryzen 5 3600 and this has been a HUGE increase in performance. I'm limited by my AM4 setup and didn't want to pay the prices for the X3D

the price is a bit high for what it is but if you can get it on sale below $200, its well worth the price for its performance. i got lucky and searched amazon while at the store and they was willing to price match it for me at $160 and since the 5600x was only about $30 less, i decided to grab this one.

Excellent upgrade for AM4 AMD boards. Nice middle of the road performance between Ryzen 5/9 for gaming and design. Can handle a lot thrown at it without bogging down.

Works great and allows my games that used to stutter to run flawlessly, easy to install as well.

I got this as replacement got my Ryzen 5 5600XT when I bent the pins trying to reseat it! Works great. But it gets hotter than my old processor. Like 60 and when up 70 idle. I changed some settings to help keep it cooler. I'm using tyke Hyper 212 right now. Did get a Thermalright 360 from Amazon. So hopefully using a liquid cooler will help.

A marked improvement over my Ruzen 5 5600, my PC is running smoother. I have lots and lots of tabs open in my browser. Gaming is buttery smooth too.
