"The Americans" is one of those rare television events that combines the very best of acting performances, thoughtful, suspenseful and exhilarating scripts, great camerawork, beautiful locations and directors who make the most of all production elements. I was saddened that it had to end, but to own the complete series now means that I can re-watch it all and enjoy it over again from the beginning. If you have never seen an episode of "The Americans", avail yourself of this opportunity to buy and view an absolutely marvelous series.

This is another movie I rented from Netflix at the insistence of my mother. It appears she has become my movie previewer! I loved the series and eagerly awaited my discs in the mail. I devoured it and then could barely wait for more! when I saw that it was available for purchase, at a very reasonable price, I decided I just had to have it! I will binge watch it this winter when we are snowed in.

It really makes one think if this really goes on. The cast was great as was the plot of each episode, the entire series kept me in suspense. There is no doubt in my mind that after seeing this the cat and mouse game is for real, I would highly recommend it to a friend.

Fantastic history of what it was like to live in the USA and Russia during the height of the Cold War. Gives great insight of the Soviet mindset of American events of the period. A little far fetched but wonderful from a historical standpoint.

The Americans is one of the best stories ever told on tv. From acting, to writing, to directing, this shows delivers in every aspect. It definitely has its fair share of action, but it is a slow-burn story. It's truly a masterpiece of cinema.

Excellent show about two Russian spies during the 1980's.

This TV show is amazing, all the drama and action you see through each season are awesome. I finally got the entire set to watch it at home anytime I want and many times is possible.

I was disappointed that the show went to DVD after the first season but Fox is quick to do this with shows that don't sell well on Blu-ray. But when the complete series was released on DVD for a decent price, it's the content and not the resolution that convinced me. The audio and video quality are fine and don't distract too much. Recommended.

Always wanted to watch this show, now with all seasons together and a low price, i am able to do this. The DVDs play great and love how they all came in one compartment.

This dvd series is slow to go but then it picks up and its so intense! I love it, great price for a complete set too!

This is one of the best tv shows that has ever come out. Wish I could've got it on blu ray, But for the price DVD is fine.

Well done series, addicting with very good performances. Gripping moments that keep you interested.

This is one of the best shows on tv. Very interesting because I remember living thru this era.
