I wasn't sure about getting this game at first, it didn't seem too appealing but because it was Animal Crossing I had to give it a chance at least. To my surprise the game is actually really fun. Very time consuming! I really love it. :)

You will waste a lot of time playing this, but that's a good thing. It's got the same Animal Crossing charm the series is known for. Focusing on just the home design aspect is pretty cool, since AC after a while always started to feel like a chore. With no money restrictions, you're free to design any way you'd like. Amiibo cards are a cool way to customize things and unlock characters and other features. Expanding design to outside the house is a great addition. Picking which clients to help is very welcome and fun. It can still feel like a chore after designing a lot of homes, but it'll always be a fun game to get back to after a break. But first you'll be addicted to it for a while.

Anyone who has played the main games in the series will recognize the setting, but the game plays much differently. The design aspects are very easy and intuitive. Not only that, it's fun. Outside of the main "story", you can continue designing new villagers houses daily. It is nice that you can skip playing for any period of time and come back without any repercussions to your progress. Hopefully they'll merge the design system with the next full game.

Animal crossing with emphasis on design to help make inhabitants of virtual town happy. My daughter has fun with the game, and spends almost too much time designing in game. We also bought the cards which scan into game, useful items, and improve chances of success. IMO, the game is best played by those 10 y/o and up.

I was so happy when I found out this existed! I loved that it came with the nfc reader, which made it an overall cheaper purchase. As for the game itself..love it!! It may not be for everyone but I personally always loved designing homes in AC games. This game removes the collecting process and lets you go crazy with designing! :)

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is a bright new entry in the beloved Animal Crossing Series, though it does a lot of thing different than previous installments so buyers need to educate themselves on those changes before purchasing in order to have appropriate expectations. Happy Home Designer cuts out the open world life typically in Animal Crossing games--You don't have a town map, a certain population of villagers that live in your town that you interact with, or even a house of your own to upgrade and pay off. Instead, you are an interior designer working in town and you decorate houses for people. That is basically Happy Home Designer in a nutshell. If you enjoyed this aspect of previous animal crossing games, you will likely be pleased with this one. If not, you may want to pass for the next main game.

I'm having a blast designing lots or homes and stores. I just wish there was a more open world feel to it. More places to visit and more interaction that wasn't simply about designing.

This game highlights the fun part of animal crossing new leaf with home design. Just wish you could still do normal daily activities too and have you own home.

This game is by far one of the funnest games I've picked up. You can make villagers' homes better and choose to design things a way you want. Very fun.

My 14 yr old daughter loves her Animal crossing game,she spends hours designing her homes and gardens.

The game included a lot of requested features animal crossing fans have wanted in the games; including different house floor plans, window/door customization, ceiling furniture, outside furniture, drag and drop (touch screen) decorating, etc. My downside to the game is it lacks the village portion of the game I loved in previous installments. You don't have a house for yourself, you don't have a village to run around in, just the town with the public buildings, and you fast travel to each villager's home.

This game takes Animal crossing's customizable home idea and expands on it. - You are a home designer with a goal to be the best. - The game makes use of the NEC reader by allowing the option of diff characters from the series to move in - The game play is simple and refined so it doesn't feel like a chore. - The characters are still personable and friendly like the previous games - This game is huge time sink there is always something to do . Great game and cast of charcters !

If you DO NOT own the New Nintendo 3DS you'll need to buy this since this bundle comes with the NFC reader which would be helpful in reading Amiibo figures and cards on it. Paying an extra $10 it's worth it since it costs $19.99 for the NFC reader by itself. This bundle comes with one random Animal Crossing character card so you won't know what you got until you buy it and open it up. Overall this game is really fun and enjoyable.

If you are a fan of animal crossing you will absolutely love this game. All of the characters you are familiar with will make an appearance in your town (via the cards which of course are sold separate). The NFC reader is easy to use and the game is decent.

This is a must have for Animal Crossing fans. The Amiibo cards also really add to the game. I am glad that I did not need to upgrade my 3DS, as it came with the NFC adapter!

This is a simple and fun game with a surprising amount of complexity. Once you get through the basic tutorials, the game becomes more complex and gives you many more options. The Amiibo reader is a nice addition to further expand the game!

It's not a full Animal Crossing game, no, but it still has all of the normal Animal Crossing charm and easygoing atmosphere. You'll have more fun than you'd expect designing houses for villagers and interacting with them.

My kids have always loved the animal crossing series, my daughter especially. She can spend hours on the game and now with the amiibo reader, it's way cooler and can save special moves, or anything special for a particular amiibo. Great game!
