Movie was a let down one time watch u better off renting it then buying it cause then your stuck with this trash movie. I was very disappointed with it insidious are still better movies even do its telling the story of anabel I wish it could of been better.

I wasn't impressed. Thought about watching it again to see if my mind would change.

Not a great spin off of the conjuring. Lame, kind of slow

This movie has a lot of potential, but when it ONLY falls into the jump scares, it fell apart. The staircase scene would have been amazing if it left out the jump scare and turned into the creature just chasing her. I would skip this movie.

Typical scary movie. A few jumpy moments andt hats it.

Unless you are Conjuring completest and you absolutely have to watch this movie for the sake of the binge, stay far away from this movie. It's awful.

This says it includes digital copy but it did not that was the main reason why I purchased it false advertisement.

I'm not really into horror movies, but I had to buy it for work.

The beginning was scary but afterwards it became really boring.

In Santa Monica, California, Mia and John Gordon are happily married and Mia is pregnant. John is concluding the medical school and does not have much time to give attention to his beloved wife, so he buys an ancient and rare doll named Annabelle for her collection. But soon their next door neighbors are attacked by two members of a satanic cult that break in their house and attack them after killing the neighbors. Mia and John are saved by the police officers and Mia needs to rest until the delivery. But there is a fire in their house and Mia early delivers a baby girl, Leah. The family moves to an apartment in Pasadena but first Mia throws the doll Annabelle away in the garbage. However she finds the doll in a box while unpacking things in her new home. Weird things happen to Mia and she befriends Evelyn, who works in a bookstore, and she learns about an evil cult that wants Leah's soul. When John and Mia summons Father Perez to help them with Annabelle, evil is stronger than the priest and he is sent injured to the hospital. Who may save Leah's soul now?

Annabelle is the spin-off to James Wan's The Conjuring about the Annabelle doll, which is supposedly possessed/controlled by a demon. The movie is full of genre tropes and cliches, but due to the cinematography and style implemented by Wan (dragging out scenes and putting scares after the tension has been built up), the movie is still extremely effective in scaring you silly, just without the emotional and story-telling depth seen in Wan's directed works. The blu-ray is a must-own for horror fans.

I loved The Conjuring and when I found out a prequel was being made, I was ecstatic! I really liked this movie. It was very dark and looming. I enjoyed the backstory of the Annabelle doll and watching its chronology unfold. Definitely worth a watch!

On its won the movie is alright, offering various types of scares but when compared to its predecessor it falls kinda short. When you compare this movie to the Conjuring is when it starts to fall apart.

This movie, a spinoff from the conjuring, was fantastic. It recieved bad reviews becuase it wasn't the Conjuring. It has excellent scares, a some-what emotioinal story, and great visuals. Knowing what the movie is going in will help to enjoy the movie more. I was excited to get this at such a great prices. Highly recommend

I thought the movie was pretty good. Not as scary as I thought it was going to be but still had parts that made me jump, And not to mention the doll was creepy as can be without being possessed.

This movie is one of the best of 2014. It had a great back story on the doll, Annabelle herself. In case you don't know, it's a prequel to The Conjuring.
