The blu ray disk was fine, but the dvd was scratched

After going to the movies and seeing the recent release of the Annabelles creation I was interested in seeing the first movie. This DVD picks up where the new movie, Creation, leaves you at the end. This is one spooky film about the doll ending up with young couple expecting their first child. You won't be disappointed as I wasn't with story and all the amazing things that happen and how the couple survive their experience. Be prepared for some edge of the seat moments.

When compared to the film that made this one possible, it doesn't compare. But i liked the scares, a couple of tense scenes. It's not a memorable horror film, but it isn't one that should be treated with disdain just because it lacks the same talent James Wan brought to The Conjuring.

When it comes to possessed dolls annabelle really makes chucky look like child's play. Great movie just like "The Conjuring". If you have a home theatre system this movie like the conjuring will use your subwoofer to the max. Which adds a lot of the intensity to the movie. Scary overall great plot makes you understand better from where the conjuring left off In the introduction of Annabelle. I can say it is a movie that is going to be added to the have to watch during Halloween collection.

Annabelle, in my opinion, is a good film that loyal horror and James Wan fans will appreciate. The revelation of the demon behind Annabelle serves a few creepy chills, but the movie is as good as a C-list cast can make it. Concept is cool, thrills come and go, and youll be happy with just renting it.

First off, this is A-list horror and by that I mean a film made by professionals, starring professionals... ya know, like just about every iconic horror film you can think of. Granted in the last few years indie producers have been yielding some absolutely phenomenal movies ("The House of the Devil" and "Wer" come to mind) but when I saw 2013's "The Conjuring" I believed it was heralding a renaissance of creative creepiness from the big studios.

"Why would anyone want to buy this doll in the first place!?!" Those words screamed in my head the entire time I watched this movie!! It kept me on the edge of my seat! Great Blueray copy and it was nice to have a regular dvd and digital copy come in the set as well!

Annabelle was an intriguing movie. I already had an good expectation for the movie, since James Wan director of the SAW franchise, the conjuring and just recently Fast and Furious 7. I like how the movie doesn't rely on jump scares. I would recommend this title.

Okay, Annabelle definitely gave me the creeps! To begin, the doll has to be one of the most naturally creepy dolls ever! That alone makes the movie scary. I thought the actors gave great performances and I can see a franchise coming in the near future!

This movie is proof you don't need lots of blood and gore to make a great horror movie. Fans of "The Conjuring" will enjoy the prequel featuring the creepy doll Annabelle. It's not so much the doll that's scary, but the twisted demon that is using it as a conduit. This is one you probably don't want to watch alone!

I'm one who likes a good scary movie. Seems that genre is getting harder and harder to find these days. Annabelle is a spin off movie and character doll from the Conjuring series. Even though I didn't much care for the Conjuring, I found myself intrigued to watch this movie about a Evil looking doll . Well turns out the doll wasn't in much of the movie, rather a evil entity / ghost figure, that well to be honest....we seen a hundred times in other movies before. Annabelle is not a bad movie, it's just nothing new. Sound effects and noises heard through surround speakers is just about the high points in the scare factor.

We had watched The Conjuring movies so of course had to watch Annabelle. Clerk at BB said scared her so bad she couldn't have any dolls in the house.......HA. Intrigued so I had to purchase..... if you like horror, you need to view this one.

Solid movie with a good story and intense moments. If you have seen The Conjuring you already know the storyline, which can make the movie less enjoyable but if you take it for what it is you will enjoy it. And The Conjuring was much better

To anyone who is a fan of the movie The Conjuring this is a must see. Of course the focus of this film is on the doll named Annabelle that ends up in the Warren's collection of haunted objects that is shown in the film The Conjuring.

This is the first film I watched in the series and needed them all did not care! This movie has great characters, great visuals to show us the fear, and the camera lens to show clearly! This is a film that gives more than you want!

Good Scary Movie with a doll. I just wanted to say the product itself was complete with a digital copy which is important to me and has good extras on the film if you are interested.

The 2nd and 3rd films are much better in the Annabelle franchise. This one is a little corny and silly, but still worth watching if you enjoy the franchise..

I'm not much into horror movies in the first place, but this isn't a horror movie. It is more of a suspense thriller if anything. 4 stars instead of 5 because I am not into these types of movies.

I have always had a dislike for these type of doll, and I am not a big horror movie person, but this movie just worked! It kept my interest and maintained a good bit of suspense. That doll....creepy!

This movie totally suprised me. I was skeptical of buying this movie at first. But i decided to anyway. Glad i deciced to buy this movie. This is a Great Movie. Great action and storyline!
