    I ordered the Anyhill Um 2 as a gift for my fiancé. He has been wanting a scooter for awhile and i thought this would be a great early Christmas gift. He was so excited to try it when he received it, he got his coat on before we even put it together. He had the biggest smile on his face. He got the handle bar in fine. But when it came to trying to get the scooter to unfold it would not lock open. When we tried to fold it back down, we could not get it to lock closed. We watched several videos in case we were doing something wrong and tried again and again. Nothing worked. I was slowly watching the smile fade from his face. I contacted Anyhill thru the chat service on their website. They sent me a video i had already watched. Then they sent another video on how to adjust the stem. He told us to adjust it in the opposite direction of the video. We tried 10 or more times, he then told us to try again. We tried 5 more times, still nothing. He then told me “we have a preliminary judgement, can we get back to you?”. I said just forget it and i will return it to BestBuy. He apologized and said this rarely happens. I asked if they quality check their items, as i feel a scooter should at least be checked to see if it can be folded and unfolded. He said they only check every so often. Not every scooter gets checked. So we spent $26 on an uber to return it to the store. They shipped us out another one. First thing we did when we received this one was check to see that it unfolds. Great, it did. This one came with the prongs that attach to the handle bars bent out of shape. I bent the prongs back to where they should have been using tweezers. A minor inconvenience that we were able to fix. Now i told my fiancé to make sure it folds back down. It would not fold back down! I dont know how we will get this one back to the store considering we cant get it to fold down and get it back in to the box. I do know that i will just be getting a refund this time and not trying a third time. I feel terrible that i was not able to make my fiancés dream of having a scooter a reality. I would not recommend this scooter or anything else from this company.
