This device is a small form factor power supply only. Don't think it will serve as a surge protector, it's just a power supply for devices that have a very low draw of electricity.

Would have worked great for what I wanted except the outlets don't have the ground prongs. Only plugs with 2 prongs will work

This backup is small and does not have the ground plug sockets. You can only use small 2-wire plugs in this backup device. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

This little UPS is great, it does exactly what it is designed to to. Yes there are no 3 prong plugs but it was not designed to work with that type of equipment. It will keep your modem and router up for short power outages. I have not yet had to deal with a long outage so I cannot comment on actual run time, but my main concern was keeping things up during short power outages.

Got tired of loosing internet connection during momentary loose of power and having to restart my modem and router. My computer UPS outlets are all being used. Bought this and not I don't have to keep unplugging and plugging in my router and modem. The green power light is not sealed off from the rest of the unit so it glows from out of the bottom of the backup power supply.

Great for magic jack phone and also for alarm system panel. If you need a backup for Internet and wifi router it's a good buy.

I purchased this item to use as a battery backup for my AT&T Uverse router and AT&T Microcell. The device works great! It switches over from normal power to batter power immediately when the power goes out. There is no loss of power to the router or microcell. I would recommend this to anyone who needs network backup power in their house.

I got mine on sale. It comes with a really good warranty and works for my network setup.

During a couple of power outages we stayed online. It also protects us from surges.

So far, so good. I just wanted a small UPS to keep my network and phones alive in a power outage. This UPS is designed to do that. Since I have not seen a power outage yet, I cannot really tell you if it works as advertised or not. Fingers crossed.

I bought this for my small business thinking i made a great purchase. I got to my business just to find out that none of the outlets are grounded. This was made for very small electronics. I returned it the same night.

Works just as described by the manufacturer. Great Item.

Make some loud beeps from time to time but nice unit

This is a nice idea in concept, but a surge protector also needs to protect the coaxial cable that brings the Internet to a cable modem.
