I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro and I finally have Thunderbolt capabilities. This cable was purchased to enable me to connect to the Thunderbolt devices that I am currently buying as I move my video production business into the future. The cable has performed excellent. It is super fast and super compatible. I wish the price point would come down a bit, but in a professional marketplace, I have grown accustomed to higher prices and you get what you pay for.

You should have this in your office. You don't know if you customers are having Mac or not. Useful when your customers have to present anything on projectors.

Purchased the Thunderbolt cable to transfer information from old hard drive to the new solid state hard drive. Worked seamlessly and efficiently. Great product at a great price.

If you are upgrading to a new MacBook and want to transfer over your older docs, photos, etc., this is the way to go. Transfer speeds are ridiculously fast. A process that would have taken me 6-7 hours over wireless was done in 12 minutes.

This cord actually connect my iMac to my MacBook so I could use one as a display-- now I'm not using two separate computers when I need to work. Excellent!

I need the product to connect two MacBook Pro's for data transfer and it worked great but was expensive and was actually too short. The cable would be better for a connection to a thunderbolt item right next to the MacBook.

Needed a Thunderbolt cable in a hurry and this easily fit the bill. Quality construction although if I had been able to wait for one to be shipped to me could have found it slightly cheaper from a non-Apple manufacture.

I needed a cable to migrate stuff from my old MacBook to my new one. The old one only had USB 2, but it did have a Thunderbolt port, so I ponied up for this cable. I know there is some trick technology involved in Thunderbolt cables, but they are still crazy expensive. And now that I'm done with it, it's just an expensive combination of rubber, plastic, and wires. It is VERY short - it was difficult to arrange the Macbooks in such a way as to connect them. The cable is also very stiff, adding to the difficulty of connecting the laptops, but it worked - just not very conveniently or cost effectively.

This item works perfectly. It was unnecessary to have a 3-6' cable, it was able to process my Mac-to-Mac transfer very quickly with no issues

Needed to reach a daisy chained array of external drives on a nearby desk. Glad to have the long version to keep desk clutter to a minimum.

Had a MacBook hard drive that was going out. This allowed me to transfer the information to a new MacBook and it worked wonderfully!

I purchased the Lightning cable to duplicate what I had on my Mac Mini to my new MacBook Air. Everything worked as promised!

The cable allows ultra fast transfer of information between 2 macs. Be very careful not to bend it though I have seen them break.

Thought the thunderbolt screens didn't have cables, but always useful to have around if you are doing Mac data transfers
