I don't like excessive length of cables running between external hard drives. This is just the right length.

I always buy the apple product before i would by a third party item. quality is always there.

If you need to expedite data transferring through Apple products, you can't beat this cord.

I always have trouble with off brand cables. Most of the time Apple does a solid job with their cables, and this one is no different. Solid cable, although expensive.

Bottom Line: if you still have a device with Thunderbolt port and need to connect something to it, this cable will get the job done. Review: I'm using this cable (along with a TB3 to TB2 adapter, sold separately) to connect my older, mid-2012 MacBook Pro to a modern, TB3 eGPU. The setup works really well. Note, though, that 1.6' is really short for a cable, so make sure you measure how far you need to go with the connection. Also note that it's a TB connection on each end of the cable, so you might need an adapter if you're connecting TB to a non-TB device.

Not only does the quality of the cable feel premium and durable, but the speeds at which Thunderbolt allow are mind blowing. I can transfer hundreds of Gbps between drives at lightning fast speeds. Highly recommended for all your data transfer needs.

Not a lot to say, you need the Thunderbolt cable to use the computer and BestBuy has it - nuff said!

Moved my info from Old Mac Bookpro to new Mac Bookpro. Very quickly once I got it to work.

Needed to copy my wife's MacBook data to a new unit. Over wifi was horribly slow (ETA over 200 hours). Went and picked up the Thunderbolt cable, set up the old unit in disk mode and wow, all data copied in 30mins. Love thunderbolt and the cable was solid.

A good reason why I will no longer buy apple products at Best Buy is due to this purchase. I bought this at a b&m for file transfer that needed to be done at work (old mac mini to rMBP). The function of the cable was flawless and worked like a charm in migration assistant. However, I opened this supposedly *new* product to find that the insert and literature were shoved in and the cable was not in the housing (totally bent and detached). So not only did I pay $30+ for a super small cable but it was a USED / returned one listed and sold as a new one. This wouldn't fly at an Apple store and although I hate going to their storefront I will do so just to avoid this mess. The product gets 5/5 stars but I would give this marketplace (best buy) 2/5 just because they offer the product. I recommend the cable but I would NOT recommend best buy.
