First off, let me just say that I am an Apple-FanBoy. Have had multiple iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, but this is my first iMac. What drove me to look at the iMac was the simplicity of the setup. Everything is contained in the display/base unit. As usual with Apple products, set up is a breeze! Pull it out of the box, plug in the power cord, and you are up and running! What's not to like. The keyboard and mouse that come with the iMac have already been paired with the system, so you don't even have to do that. I used an external USB on my MacBook to back up the system with TimeMachine, so all I had to do was plug in the external USB drive to the iMac, and tell the OS that I wanted to restore from the USB drive, and my new computer looked just like my old one...only much faster.

I honestly was not sure about purchasing such a pricey computer but the features alone are what sold me! I have had Aplle products for some time now and I think that is what helped me and my wife buy this. The functionality is flawless, it's super fast and the size of the screen is a plus as well. There are some apps that I wish were on the App Store but that doesn't justify a less then stellar review here. If you can fit the price into your spending budget I would strongly suggest getting an IMac.

This is simply an excellent computer. Beautiful screen & simplicity of design (one cord to plug in). Operationally, the iMac OS is so much superior to windows there just isn't any comparison. No need for anti virus program and don't get all kind of spyware loaded on it like what happens with windows. Program updates are a breeze, just click on the update button when they show up and they get done. Will never go back to windows, Mac is light years ahead....

Apple...quality products, quality operating system, quality everything. This particular iMac is stunningly beautiful. All computer components housed in the 21.5 inch display with a wireless keyboard and mouse connected thru Bluetooth technology. Currently running on the Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks and upgradable for free to the new Mac OS 10.10.1 Yosemite, for this low end iMac edition...This Is Perfection. Also the unbeatable Intel® 4th Generation Core™ i5 Haswell chip inside. This enty-level iMac is fine for those who need to experience apple tech for the first time at an affordable price so don't be thrown for a loop with the lower specs compared to the higher level iMacs.

I'd been a PC user since the 80's(Yes. I'm old,) and have had numerous Intel powered computers running Windows as far back as 98. More recently, a Compac laptop and two HP laptops, one with AMD. Then I bought a Gen 2 iPod and later an iPad Mini for myself. Two years ago an iPhone 5 for my wife. I liked it so much that two weeks later I bought an iPhone 5 for myself. I was hooked. A friend of my calls it "The Apple Web" because we get trapped into buying one Apple product after another. I was really reluctant to buy the iMac because it was several hundred dollars more than a similarly equipped HP. But Best Buy online had a four hour sale one Saturday advertising it at $849.99, down from $1049.99! I just couldn't pass up such a deal. My local store matched the price and I was set. I'm an avid internet shopper but when it comes to expensive electronics, it's really nice to see the item in person before buying and talk to someone knowledgeable about the product. As far as using the iMac? What a dream. I'm can be listening to Pandora through the really clear built in speakers or connect via Bluetooth to my Beats Pill, all while working on photos stored on the iCloud, texting or even answering the phone. I just feel bad when a day goes by and I haven't used it to discover even more amazing things that it can do. My only suggestion to apple would be to enable all iPhone apps to also work on the iMac.

I purchased 2 of these as gifts for the family, and they are really enjoying the speed and ease. Everything in a small space. I am very happy with the purchase.

I was very reluctant to make this purchase. It is my first Mac. I didn't want to leave Windows for something unfamiliar. Well I took a chance because of the system specifications and the sale. Well, I haven't been disappointed at all. In fact I wish I had purchased this machine long ago. I can really see myself switching my phone and laptops over to Apple products now. Processor speed, graphics, look, and all other functions are top notch.

This desktop replaced a ten year old dell. The dell gave up the ghost 3 years ago and have been using laptops and iPads since. Got the Mac at a good price and have been in love. So simple to use and no hangups at all. Used to be android and windows but now only Apple in my home. My wife says that if her job switched to Apple they would be so much more productive. She was on the Mac for 3 days straight. The ability to do her pictures and projects is worth the price. Best desktop we have ever had. Period

This is my third iMac. The last one was from 2007 and while there was nothing wrong with it, I wanted to upgrade. The system is sleek, fast and super user friendly. It boots in about 15 seconds and pairs nicely with my iPad and home entertainment system. The wireless keyboard and mouse are a great addition as well. I only have to look at one wire...the electrical one. Everything else is completely wireless. Definitely worth the money.

I bought this iMac as a desktop computer for the family. If you've ever had any Apple product, the experience is much the same. Simple, easy to use, easy to setup, and looks good while delivering solid performance. My 4 year old was up and using the machine in a matter of 15 minutes of opening the box. This model is the entry level unit so you need to consider whether or not you need a larger or faster hard drive and/or more RAM.

This is our first Mac after always having PC's. I was wary of making the transition to Apple and having to learn a whole new system. Needless to worry. Mac's are more intuitive than IBM compatibles and Microsoft programs. It came with an Office suite equivalent, which can convert all of our Office files. Smooth transition, easy to learn, and fast. As a bonus, Best Buy offers free classes and has an Apple rep in the store!

Imac 21.5 is a compact all in one computer with great fit and finish. The screen is huge and so clear and vibrant. Great for general use like surfing the web or doing papers or collecting music and photos. Although this is the base model without dedicated graphics and I was worried about speed, it performed well for basic video editing with my GoPro. It's a lot faster than my old MacBook even. It surpasses my expectations!

Plenty of storage space and speed for the average user. Sleek design and easy hook up.

Apple 21.5 iMac has an Intel core i5 .This computer is unbelievably very powerful with great speed. It is the best computer I have ever owned.It is very thin.The picture is awesome.It is super fast.The sound is great. Over all it is a very nice computer to own.

Bought this on black Friday for my dad as a Christmas present and he loves it! Garage band is his favorite app that comes with the computer. My mom is not good with computers but she has been on it every day since! Very user friendly and fast! Wireless mouse n keyboard easy to use beautiful big screen worth every penny would buy again n recommend to friends. Apple keep making great products!

We already owned a lot of apple products: iphones, ipads, ipods, but this is our first mac. We grew up using windows and were a little afraid of making a change to a different OS. Boy were we wrong!..This imac, besides being beautifully designed, is so easy to use. Everything is so intuitive, we didn't need to do any research on how to use it. I highly recommend it to everybody.
