The "real thing" and you pay for it

I bought an off brand a few years ago and it was not the quality of Apple. I now have a car that uses Apple play so I needed a cable to connect. If you need it and you want to brand name you pay. But it works and you have peace of mind. End of story.

Original is best!

Do yourself a favor and get the authentic Apple cable. My original cable that came with my phone had had the wires exposed but is still working. Bought the Insignia cable and they only made it a few months before they stopped working. These are significantly better!

All cables are not created equally!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After purchasing numerous inexpensive (read: cheap) cables to charge my iPhone in the car I finally decided to drop a few extra bucks and invest in the real McCoy, an Apple cable. Should have done this awhile ago! Spent more on multiple cables that have died without reason or warning than buying an authentic Apple cord. Live and learn. Charge on!

Never hurts to have an extra cable

I’m so glad that the Apple cables are so easily accessible for purchase now. Even in the past I’ve used clone products I had issues, including damage to my phone. I’m so happy that the Apple Products are readily available!

I keep one in the car, and the other 2 in the house just in case the original breaks or if I lose it. I have tested all 3 and they work as well as the original. I didn't notice any defects in the material, and the quality looks solid.

Apple cable recommended

I noticed the cable I had (not Apple) was starting to fray around the plug Didn't want to take a chance of damaging my new phone so discarded the old one. The new one looks much better quality.

Get Genuine.

This is why I bought this cable and would prefer 'Best Buy' to have the profit as they give me points!
