Overall really happy with my “new” iPad Pro. I usually purchase refurbished directly from Apple but they were out of stock of the 5th generation. Surprisingly Best Buy had it. It’s been a huge upgrade to my iPad 2 (from 2011 or so)that I originally purchased for my photography but wasn’t as reliable due to the technology of that time. I’d say the only difference from Apple (not a deal breaker) is the packaging could be a lot better as it was in a FedEx envelope inside of a random box. And the screen had visible markings. Thank you Best Buy!

I have never purchased a “refurbished/renewed” product ever, believing the quality of the item would be subpar however after buying this iPad 12.9, Best Buy has changed my mind. There is no indication that this is refurbished, it is like new. This is a wonderful iPad, great for aging eyes. I would buy another refurbished product from Best Buy.

The iPad Pro M1 is still incredibly fast and smooth. The display is beautiful, the battery life is solid, and everything runs flawlessly. Perfect for work, entertainment, and creative tasks. Very happy with this purchase.

Refund Delayed for Weeks After Return Was Received

Here’s the updated review with that detail included smoothly: Updated Best Buy Review I purchased a refurbished iPad on January 12, 2026, and my experience with the return and refund process has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The item arrived with a noticeable scratch. When I tried to return it in-store, I was told the return couldn’t be processed because it was supposedly sold by a third-party seller—even though the product listing clearly stated it was shipped and sold by Best Buy and eligible for in-store returns. I then followed the return instructions and shipped the item back via FedEx. Tracking shows it was delivered to a Best Buy facility in Chino, CA on January 20 and signed for. From that point forward, I received conflicting information every time I contacted customer service. I was first told the refund was already processed and would be completed by January 30. When it didn’t appear, another representative told me the return had not even been initiated. Later, I was told it had been received and processed on January 20. I was repeatedly asked to “wait 7–10 business days,” then “7–14 business days,” with no clear explanation. When I called again on February 3, I was told the return had just been processed the day before (February 2) and that I needed to wait yet another 7–10 business days. After waiting 45 minutes to speak with a supervisor, I was told a “system malfunction” prevented the refund from processing and that I would need to wait another 72 hours plus possibly another 7–10 business days to see the money in my account. I also asked if there was anyone higher I could speak with or a corporate contact to escalate the issue further, and I was told there was no one else to speak with and no phone number or address for corporate escalation. To make matters worse, the order page now shows: “Sorry, but the return period for this item ended on Fri, January 30.” This is extremely concerning because I have not had the iPad in my possession since January 17 and Best Buy has had the item since January 20. At this point, I’ve spent weeks chasing a refund for a defective item that Best Buy has already received. The lack of transparency, inconsistent information, and difficulty getting escalation has seriously damaged my trust in Best Buy’s customer service and return process. Buyers should be aware that if something goes wrong, getting your refund may take far longer and require far more effort than expected.
