the other guy is completely wrong, yes the brought it in gold and gave it a fingerprint reader, but they've changed more. Completely new processor and graphics, making it faster and graphics looking better. They've upped the ram in the air 2 from the air 1 which allows you to run your programs more smoothly. They have also upgraded the camera on the back allowing more gorgeous pictures. It is also thinner than the previous model due to the screen having all parts laminated together, removing the air gap between components, and giving it a better view in sunlight. If you're looking for an iPad this is the model to get.

My iPad Air 2 simply doesn't work. It turns out that there are now many reviews out there describing network connection problems. We tried some of the fixes people suggested, but they didn't really fix it. We spent a long time on hold waiting for Apple support, but they never answered and we have other things to do. It doesn't download all of my mail, I have to turn Airplane Mode on and off every time I pick it up to do something, just to get it to find my wireless, but then it just "spins" forever when I try to open mail, etc. It's going back, because Apple isn't even acknowledging the issues, let alone putting a fix out for it. My old iPad doesn't have enough space for a few things I'd like to do, but at least it WORKS. After this experience, not sure I'd upgrade with a new iPad again.

Went from an iPad to an iPad air 2. Was a great upgrade..
