The new iPad air is very fast, high performance, very light. To top it all off the camera is better then all other tablets. Another great thing is you can get up to 128gb that's enough storage to have a whole series of tv shows and movies.

The iPad functions properly but I have had 3 invisishields installed . Either the iPad or the invisishield are defective as I have several black shadows on the screen. Still trying to determine the origin of the visual imparment, defective iPad and screen or invisishield installation?

After years of owning various versions of the iPhone/iPod/Apple laptops, we finally picked up an iPad Air 64 w/WiFi. As with all Apple products, it is simple to use, set up and use in conjunction with other products (wireless keyboard, speakers, etc.). The screen resolution is gorgeous and it performs beautifully with movies, games and other videos. My wife has paired it with a Logitech wireless keyboard to write longer e-mails, documents, etc. and loves it. The keyboard also links nicely to her iPhone for similar benefits. The iPad Air is terrifically light, slim and consequently portable beyond the likes of a laptop. While we have not done so, one could use a case that can be attached to a car headrest to allow for in the car entertainment. The one real downside is the price. It is too expensive for what it offers, and leaves Apple open to competition which is heating up in this market. We saved some $ by purchasing the WiFi version since we have reliable wireless at home and these days one can find wireless in many public places. Obviously if you are looking at this for work or do not have regular access to WiFi then it may not be the right choice for you. You can also save some $ by purchasing less memory, so be sure to do your research on your memory needs prior to buying. Best Buy delivered it as promised, though I was surprised FedEx left the box on our doorstep in sub freezing temps without obtaining a signature. In sum this is a fun and useful luxury item, unless someone tries to use it in place of a laptop, which would not work for us. It fits in that niche between a smartphone and a laptop, so yes it's great to have, but hardly a necessity. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is not a good value, though a wonderful tablet in many ways.

This is a great tablet. I prefer the screen size of the Air to the mini. This is my third iPad and it truly is the fastest one yet. It is defintely much lighter than my older third gen iPad a worthwhile upgrade. If you are a Verizon wireless customer already you have free tethering so I didn't see a need to get the LTE model. I do think that Apple could lower the cost especially given the price of memory these days. I highly recommend it.

I upgraded from an iPad 2. The Air is lighter, smaller, and much faster. The difference is striking. It's also much easier to hold. Still, it's an outrageously expensive piece of kit.

This was my second i pad in three years. Have given the new I PAD Air to wife while I maintain my previous I Pad 2 . New model acquired has 64gb with wifi only which works for her as she has free wifi at work and wireless at home. Very lite and pleased with screen/graphic quality for her pictures and web browsing. Simple for her to use and navigate. Extremely easy purchase with Best Buy! Pick out model online and pick up when they received it but no problem arrived several days before the 25th of DEC.

Bought my Mom a 3rd gen Ipad when it came out and noticed how much she loved it and was able to communicate with family and friends all over the world and she's able to keep herself entertained by watching movies, playing games, and other things. Some things I like about the Ipad air is how light and portable it is. It fits perfectly in my travel slingbag. Now, I don't have to carry a bulky laptop when I travel or wait for my desktop to power on, if I need to do a quick internet search. The only downside I found with apple products is that accessories are pricey...$20 for a replacement cord?! I did pickup a $69 apple BT keyboard, and though pricey is well worth it, if you do a lot of typing and it's pretty sturdy and works without problems. Some might say, Ipad's are too expensive and there are other cheaper products...but if you can find it on sale and can really benefit from having such a device, it's well worth the money.

This new iPad Air is a better version of the first iPad with Retina screen. It is faster, thinner, lighter, and easier to hold and use. Reading books for an extended period is easier, because the iPad is smaller and thinner and easier to grip with one hand. And apps seem to open and respond quicker.

Lightweight & portable to take around with me, but it is also big enough to read books {that I download from the library or Kindle apps}, It has the capability to do Facetime (by email address) & enables me check all my online needs! I DID NOT get the Internet option (& I do not have an iPhone) but this has "WIFI capability" ~~ so we are able to connect wirelessly to my home computer or to my husband's iPhone ANYWHERE (thru his iPhone's 'Personal Hotspot' Feature) or any wireless areas that are available. iPad Air also takes absolutely amazing & clear HD pictures & videos that can also be sent thru email~~ when connected!!

I am a very technical person. I am very satisfied with my purchase. This iPad is light and very easy to use. I use it at work and at home. This helps me get a lot of things done at work with out the need to get out my MacBook Pro all the time. I bought an Otterbox case for it and the combined weight is about the same as the previous iPad. There are only 2 drawbacks. There is not an app for office yet. This would have made it a lot easier to use at work. Also, these are somewhat expensive. It's great for movies, music, and playing games at home. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased my iPad air on Nov 1st, the first day they were available at Best Buy. I went black, wifi only and 64 gigs. This is my 3rd iPad (1st generation, 3rd generation, Mini). Before buying the Air, I alternated between my 3rd generation (power, retina display beauty) and Mini (lightweight convenience). The Air gives me both and allowed me to sell the two iPads I previously owned and used. I read a lot of books and the iBook, Kindle and Nook apps are three of my most favorite apps. The lightweight Air gives me the comfort of the smaller Mini I treasured with all my reading. Size matters and in my Air I went with 64 gigs to give me the capacity I wanted to let me carry around most of my books and much of my music and photos without worry of running out of space. Also, I went with the wifi only this time because I also own an iPhone 5 with wireless capability that I can share on my iPad when I need to. Bottom line for me is the Air gives me the combination of features I loved in my two previous iPads, but delivers it in one device. I am extremely happy with my upgrade to the Air.

We are an apple family ( icracks) everywhere. We have a 2and 3 iPad , so we didn't run out and buy the new 5 right away. Love the new retina display, the smaller size makes it easier for the kids to hold/carry. Absolutely love it. Spend more and get the larger memory, you won't regret it.

I have an iPad 2, and this is a big step up. The screen clarity and speed is much better than the iPad 2 (and any other tablet available today). Because of iCloud, I had this set up in minutes, and had all of my apps, music, movies, notes, etc. transferred seemlessly. Apple does such a great job syncing all my devices ( Appletv, iMac, iPod, etc.). My wife and I typically use our iPads and rarely even turn on our laptop these days. We both invested in a Bluetooth keyboard, and I highly recommend that. It really completes the iPad and makes it so easy to use for any task. Highly recommend the iPad Air!

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Could have spent $150 more for Air 2 but it wasn’t necessary for web browsing, emails, and social networking. The battery lasts many hours on each charge and the tablet is light enough to carry around the house.

No surprise but Apple produced yet another amazing tablet. The battery life is incredible. I recently had a 10 hour flight in which I started with 100% battery, watched 2 movies and listed to music the rest of the trip and when we landed I still had 86%! The screen is ridiculously clear, apps load really fast and the apples iOS is always easy to navigate. The only downside is the price which, depending on the amount of space you're willing to pay for can get pretty pricey. I guess you get what you pay for.

This is the third iPad I've had and clearly the best. I started with a free 1st gen. 16GB that came with my solar system. I cut my teeth on it and liked it a lot. I traded it in at a Radio Shack to one of the employees and got a 3rd. gen. 64GB. Worked great. I had bought a 3rd. gen. 16GB for my grandson last Xmas. He maxed it out, so I gave him mine and traded his in for my current Air 64 GB. It works great, much faster, lighter and the screen is too.
