The iPad Mini is just that- a mini iPad. There is absolutely no difference between it and the larger one, except the "Retina" display. Personally, I think the Retina is over-hyped, as the Mini's display is just as good as it gets. The only "bad" about the Mini (and all Apple products) is the lack of an external mem card slot. I also have a Galaxy tablet and use it JUST because it has the card slot & I can easily transfer movies on/off of it for my daughter to watch on road-trips. With any iPad, you have to go thru iTunes to get that done. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes it is. It's still the best for a reason.

Compared to other tablets, the iPad has better battery life, screen. It doesn't have quad core processor like others, but the iPad does not need it yet. It runs all the latest premium games with no issues and it is reliable over 90% of the time. Easier to understand compared to other tablets. Not so great for business use, but then again neither are the others, but it seems like businesses preferred the iPad over the others. The screen is very responsive. It has the most useful apps available

I had an older large IPad which I used a great deal. I decided to purchase a smaller updated IPad and I love it. I use it for Internet tasks, camera, playing music, reading books and playing games. I love the small size since I can put it in my purse and take everywhere. I charge it at night and the battery lasts all day. The visual quality is very good. I prefer to use the mini IPad rather than my Mac or my I Phone.

I love the smaller size! I can do everything I want, see great pictures, movies. I love to read so being easy to take with me was important. I had the iPad 2 loved it but the smaller size made it even better. I use my iPad all the time making it purse size just made it perfect!

I use this for school and it is wonderful as a small tablet. Easy to carry and lightweight. I really have no complaints about my ipad. I think it is great for almost everything; playing games, reading, browsing the internet, watching videos if I really have to. There are plenty of apps that are free to use. It is a durable build so it can take a few bumps and scratches. One of my favorite gadgets

Love the unit it is the perfect size between a iPad and an iPod. Can tuck away in my purse or bag easily. Great screen for reading. Only thing is Apple and thier darn high price. Only other thing that really bites is iTunes bogs down my system so bad. It hates trying to handle all my music/videos from a external drive. Would also love to get the Sprint/Verizon ect, but can't justify the price difference, has to be WiFi for now, sorry Apple.

I really like the physical size of the mini compared to the standard iPad. The price is better as well. I was a little upset that the store could not provide me with the 32GB in a timely manner. I was forced to upgrade to a 64GB. This obviously cost me more money. My son was happy, my bank account was NOT! Overall, I am very pleased with this Apple product and did not want to settle for another brand. If you like the iPhones and the iPod touch which my families has, you will be pleased with this item as well.

My kindle 2 died, and I was in the market for a new one. Instead of getting a kindle fire, I decided on the iPad mini. It's the perfect size, and has all of the Apple features that my family loves. My husband and daughter both have the regular iPad, and I always thought it was too big for me to carry around in my purse. When the mini came out, I just knew it was a matter of time before I got it. I still may get another 3G kindle for reading, but the mini is used daily for regular Internet stuff!! I decided on the 64GB as I have downloaded all of my CD's and didn't want to run of of memory!

Apple ipad is really good! I have an ipad2 and this ipad mini is for my daughter (10 yrs. old). I bought her a samsung galaxy but I regret buying it....now I want to sell that samsung galaxy tab to get some money back.

The iPad MIni is great for carrying around with me! It has all the features of the full size, but is much more compact. It fits nicely into a purse or backpack and is significantly lighter weight. It makes a big difference when you consider all the other stuff you carry around!

I already owned the Apple IPad with retina display and was quite happy with it - almost downright ecstatic. However, I found that it was a little bit cumbersome for on the go situations. I recently brought it with me to a medical appointment in the city in order to read or whatever. I was sitting on the dreaded examining table with it in my hand and it almost fell on the floor. I decided to go with the Mini specifically for those kinds of situations and have found that the little rascal never seems to leave my side. It is truly a completely functional IPad with a mobile attitude. I had made several trips into the local Apple Store to purchase one but they were always out of stock. I just happened to stop into Best Buy and was delighted to find that they had many in stock..So were my Mini hungry friends who descended on Best Buy like crazy that day. My only suggestion would be to forego the Apple Smart Cover in favor of one available from Snugg that protects the back and front of the Mini instead of just the front. The case is very reasonably priced and has the instant on capability - which many out there don't have yet. I hope you aren't sorry you asked for this opinion.

The size and weight is perfect. I am an attorney and I have a lot of statutes and rule books that normally would go with me to court. They are now all on my Ipad mini so they are accessible and convenient. It is helping me go to a paperless office.

I love all apple products, but this is probably my favorite purchase so far! It's the perfect size and fits easily in your purse. I use it to browse the Internet, read books, watch Netflix, play games, and manage my callanders. The battery lasts a lifetime. Definitely recommend for any age. Perfect gift!

I really love my new iPad Mini. It's much lighter and because it's smaller in overall size than the previous iPads (we have a 1st gen and an iPad 2), I don't have to keep lugging around a gigantic purse in order to carry my mini with me. So of course, it goes everywhere that I go.

The iPad mini is just the right size for me. It's easy to carry and I can read it better than my iPhone. I can read books, check my email, play games and update my social media easily while traveling. Love it.

I originally had an iPad 2 which I liked but it was too big and heavy for my purse this iPad mini is perfect size for my purse I can still download books for reading, play games and surf the Internet. Now with more space I can even download movies. Best decision I made

I got a Surface 2 for my bday and had it for about 3 days before I traded it in for an iPad mini. I absolutely love this tablet. It is the perfect size and super light. Quality and user interface is outstanding, as with any Apple product I have owned.

I love the iPad mini. It is big enough to do all the things I want on it yet small and compact and not as clunky as the regular sized iPad. I loved that I was easily able to sync my iPad to my iPhone and Macbook. It is user friendly and a great product.

I have had all the iPad but the 4, this is nice for my wife, better than the nook,But it should have been just like the iPad 4.

This is such a great purchase. Not only does it perform a ton of tasks but there is an infinite amount of things I can do. New Apps are created every day and the lightweight portability of the ipad mini make it very convenient.
