  • Gave me phone activated by another Carrier

    This has been going on since March 2017. Purchased by wife a new phone for Christmas, but she did not try to activate until March 2017. Phone would not activate. After 2 weeks of calls to Best Buy, AT&T, and Apple with everyone pointing fingers at one another I find out my phone was activated under Sprint on 12/11/2016 by Sprint. 8 days before I ever purchased it. It won't ever be activated until Sprint unlocks it. Apple can't do it. AT&T doesn't see any problem. Sprint won't unlock because they don't see an active account under my MEI number. Big question is, how does Best Buy re-sell an activated Sprint Phone and then refuse to help later on ? Good question. Would love to hear from someone there with an answer.
