    With the help of the grandkids and the Verizon family plan, we finally got my mother-in-law to give up her old flip phone for a full fledged smartphone. They were already using Apple iPads so it was a logical step for us to have them switch to the iPhone. She is loving it and so are her friends. They are glad to see her kick her Luddite ways.

    I replaced an iPhone 6, besides speed there's nothing spectacular. However, having said that, I can't live without one, and I can't imagine going to Andriod.

    My handmedown iPhone 5C was on its last legs, working worse and worse with each upgrade and not staying charged for more than 4hrs so I was forced to get a new phone. Tried to go to android but that transition was too problematic (kept getting 5000 contacts when checking my work gmail). The main reason I got the iPhone 7 was it did not download all 5000 contacts, it was on sale, and I was told it should be at least 3 years before it is phased out. Ridiculous that any phone should cost $600 and is considered so disposable. A phone is a phone, I just want it to work.
