I was hesitant to get this case for my phone... then my wife bought be the iPad Air 2 with the black leather Apple Case for it... the feel of the leather is exquisite, and the function of the case is perfect. I have a Zagg InvisibleShield Glass screen protector on my 5s and the case protrudes just far enough to protect the Zagg as well as the iPhone screen itself. And of course with it being made by Apple for Apple, it fits perfectly. But the only downside to any case built by Apple, the holes are designed for their headphones, so most aftermarket headphones will not fit in the hole cut in the case. But overall the look and feel of this case are impeccable.

A great case for the iPhone 5S. I picked it up on sale to replace a clear plastic case that I was just not happy with. This case gives the phone a good grip, decent protection, and does not add much weight or bulk to the profile of the phone.

A bit over priced, but then what isn't these days. Having a $10 Reward Certificate helped make the purchase. This case has a much better, more comfortable feel than the larger plastic case. Fits better in my hand. I like the leather look and feel. Have received several compliments. Others have also agreed they like how it feels in the hand. Will have to find a good leather cleaner as it is beginning to get slightly used. Considering getting the black next. Suggestion for Best Buy: sell two or three for a special price! The red looks great too!

This case has it all. First, it's an Apple product. That's important to me. It gives the user just enough grip to hold on to your phone without being too tacky and pulling you pocket inside out when you go to answer a call. It's not the least bit bulky and conveniently fits in your pocket without giving you the typical cell phone bulge. Finally, this case is loaded with class and won't make you look like one of those phone geeks wearing a Batman utility belt.

Searched all over to find a real leather phone case that was designed specifically for the iPhone that was not a slip on or holster style. Found this at the Best Buy Mobile in the Mall of America. Pleased to know this is an actual Apple product. Neat feature of the case is the embossed Apple logo rather than the typical knocked out hole showing the logo on the phone back. Like a good pair of gloves, the leather has taken on a nice patina. The surface has just enough grip that it stays in place on my center console of my car when driving. Best part is it doesn't have that slippery plastic feel that you get with plastic cases and the lint in your pocket doesn't stick to it like it does with silicone cases. Obviously not designed for extreme conditions like an Otter Box or Lifeproof case, but for a comfortable and stylish look the case can not be beat.

Nice fit without adding bulk. Good protection too.

I like it. the design is really good -- after all, it's designed by apple. the only thing is the finish is vulnerable to scratches and damages because it's a leathery kind. other than that, I like the thin design and it feels great to hold. I like it ;-) oh I already said that

Was looking for a case for my work mobile and this fit the bill perfectly. This case protects the phone but is so slim and simple it's barely noticeable. The iPhone is the best looking cellphone on the market and this case works so well because it's so subtle and slim.

it fits the phone very snug, and has a good texture for gripping the phone. As a matter of fact I dropped it in water only for a second, shook phone off, wiped off phone removed cover. The cover was barely wet inside the cover. Phone still ticking along

This case held up very well! Dropped the phone a few times and not only did it protect my IPhone with zero damage but the case itself was not damaged either! Much better option then the glass & plastic cases the can shatter!

I had used my new iPhone 5s without any case for six months before purchasing Apple’s red leather offering. I didn’t need a robust, all-around case because my normal use is just in and out of pocket and laying on desks and tables. I bought red because of the Product Red contribution to the Global Fund for AIDS Research. The leather is nice and has a smooth feel, yet provides good “grip ability.” It also slips in and out of pockets easily, unlike some silicon rubber cases I’ve had in the past for previous iPhones. The phone snaps in easily, but is a little more difficult to get out (which is appropriate, I guess). It’s only a little over a sixteenth of an inch thick, so would not provide protection from a major impact, but I have dropped it once from table height on a hard surface and the phone suffered no damage. I really do like the red color, but it begins to discolor pretty quickly with normal use. The packaging does warn the consumer of this fact; it is the nature of leather to do so, after-all. Some people might think it looks grungy or dirty. Others would just see it as “aged,” like a good belt or leather jacket would be after a lot of wear. I suppose the black version of this case would alleviate any concerns about the dirty look. I haven’t tried cleaning it, but I’m sure there are leather cleaning products that just might brighten it back up. Carrying in in my pocket also probably has accelerated this process. If I used a belt clip pouch or carried it in a bag or backpack, it might not have worn quite so quickly. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and if you need a simple case for an iPhone 5s (I suppose it may fit an iPhone 5 as well), you could do worse than Apple’s leather offering. It may be a little more expensive than some other case manufacturers, but it does have the Apple logo on the back. ;-)

It is a simple case design. Slim and unobtrusive, but with a high touch feel. Apple donates fund's to charity - for every red case sold. It is a great color combination for their Space Gray 5S, even though very little of the gray case on the phone is visible. What is nice about the 5S in gray is that the touch sensor - ring and the entire phone face is Black. This combination with the simple case - gives the phone an understated appearance. It is a sleeper and looks more like a iPhone 4 than an iPhone 5S. This will make the phone less noticed by those who choose enrich themselves stealing phones. The understated appearance is a good fit for people who desire to be less status conscious, about the "bling" that they put on display. Not showy, but a look that is understated. The case rounds out the surfaces on the 5S and it extends imperceptibly beyond the front face edges - so it provides edge protection and cushion against dropping it on a flat floor. Well designed but unobtrusive. It is more user friendly than the high tech cases which offer much higher degrees of waterproofness or major impact damage prevention. At the fair "buy in" cost for the 5S - This case gives all the protection needed for most users. People who love the look and function of the high tech - high protection - high end cases do so because they may take the 5S into locations and activities that require higher protection. For a regular phone user - who leaves his phone - protected in his pocket during most outdoor adventure or all weather activities - This case choice of red leather is a winner. I give it my highest recommendation if it fits your basic protection needs.

Bought this case for my mom for her new phone and it works as advertised. Gives good protection, it is not too bulky and the leather looks great and is comfortable to hold.

If the price isn't a problem, and if you aren't attempting to ruggedize an iPhone, this case provides a compact, comfortable layer of protection. To me, it feels better in the hand than the bare instrument, and it seems less likely to slip. There are many cases that offer superior protection, but all are necessarily more bulky. For its purpose, this case is elegant and effective.

I bought the black case for my iphone 5s and the color has stood up great. The case fits perfectly snug and does not add bulk to the phone. I tend to put the phone in my back pocket and the case has not changed in appearance. The price was a little high, but the case is good quality.

case so far has shown little wear and tear, have had it for a month now. Still very comfortable leather and has its original tackiness yet so it wont slip easily from your grip. easy to put on and it stays on and protects my phone nicely.

This was a replacement case for a red one I purchased shortly after picking up my phone. My phone is gold so I felt red was a good match for the color, besides my other half has a black cover and I didn't want to make it difficult to tell them apart. The red got really dirty looking very quickly and was impossible to clean but the black cover still looks like the day it came out of the box after a year's worth of use. If you have an iPhone and you want a leather cover the black is DEFINITELY the way to go!

Wasn't sure about how well the leather case would protect my new iPhone 5s. After almost a month of use it protected my phone from a drop of two feet off my lap to the hard floor. I really like the way the leather feels and the way it slides in and out of my back pocket of my jeans. All the holes line up really well for easy plugin of the cords.

I really like the way this case fits, and the design is nice and simple. However, this particular color (brown) really shows dirt and oil from your hands. My partner has the black case, and it has held up much better, with no signs of dirt or oil. I'm really very disappointed, because I otherwise really like this case.
