I had the 32 pin older model for my iPad 3rd Gen. I have the Pro 9.7 now and needed the lightening model. I use it for reviewing my trail cams and camera cards. Easier to review pictures vs using the computer. Works as is it should, only reason for 4 stars is the cost.

I bought a Lightning to SD card reader for my daughter’s Nikon D3400. It doesn’t have wi-fi capability so it works really well transferring camera pics to her iPhone. I bought one for me too because although my Nikon D5500 has wi-fi capability, I spend several weeks abroad every year. I can transfer pics directly without having to be on wi-fi. I don’t worry about being hacked or paying exorbitant phone fees. I can send pictures when I’m back in the U.S. it’s super fast too according to my kid. Win-win.

I use this to transfer photos to my iPhone from my computer, for uploading to iCloud photo sharing and social media accounts. Need to rename the photos to have a file name of eight characters, for the iPhone to “see” the photos. Works well enough for this purpose.
