It is great . I use it to transfer picture from my camera to my I pad.

Very easy to use, works as it should. Used it on a trip to crater lake took pics with my camera and viewed them on my tablet, works great.

This is our second purchase of this great little adapter. My daughter and I are amateur photographers and take hundreds of pics, which can fill up our media devices very quickly. But with this quick connection, we just plug it into our computer, slide in a memory card and our photos are downloaded instantly from either our Apple I-pad or phones. We can do this while out and about or wait until we get home.

We purchased this to move photos from SD cards to our ipads. Works great for this. We are also able to move movies from SD cards to our ipads and then watch them. We used this so we could watch movies from the ipads while on flights when we go on vacations. Would like to see this type of device work the other way as well, but at this time, transfers only work from SD card to ipad and not the other way.

There are several ways to transfer pictures from your computer or camera to the iPad, but none are as simple and straightforward as using this adapter. Except for the price (Apple always gets a premium price - too bad), this is the way to go. I haven't been able to find a third party provider of this adapter, but I'm sure they exist - just too lazy.

If you take a lot of photos and are traveling a lot I don't see how you could go without this! Works great. Just remember all the high quality cameras these days with bigger file size will fill up your iPad quick! Especially if you have the 16GB. I probably wouldn't even recommend doing that.

This "gadget" is necessary for uploading photos from a camera card to the iPad. It worked fine. APPLE should, provide it as a free accessory. The $30.00 was not too much, just an additional cost.

I purchased this to import my ARW (raw) files from my Sony A7 into the new Photos so that my iPad Air could be the "start" of my image processing workflow. It works exactly as advertised. Please keep in mind that Apple has never stated that you could *push* images to an SDCard. This is meant to import photos only and it works perfectly just for that :-)

Great little adapter that allows me to transfer pictures from my sd card to my iPad and be able to edit pictures on the go. It'd give it 5stars but the adapter is a bit overprice as any Apple product.

Bought this for both work and travel. We recently purchased a I-Pad Air to have for a trip to London and also to use with my wife's real estate photography business. It allows for quick and easy transfer from camera chip to the I-pad and let's her share photos with clients immediately. So much more convenient than having clients look at photos in the camera's small view window. An absolute godsend!

This adapter is a handy plugin for your iPad when you are going to be away from your desktop for a while or want quick access to your shots. Photos go straight into the "My Photos" folder where you can look at them directly or import them to LightRoom to work on them a bit. There is a painful downside to this.... It is horribly slow to download from your SD card. But if you know going into that and plan ahead, you get used to it quick. All in all this is a great piece of kit!

The apple lightning-to-secure digital adapter is an ease to use, i use it for a variety of things from uploading recent photos to my IPAD or if your a hunter its a great tool to use for checking those trail cam's, Plug it into your iPad, upload your trail camera photos and see whats coming in right away. This also allows you to delete the card and put it back to use.. If your a go-pro freak, you can see you latest shots right now on your IPAD. Great tool for anyone anywhere who wants to look at photos or upload files on the go.

There really isn't much to say about this item. It does what it is designed to do. Plug it into your iPad, put the SD card in the slot, and watch as the iPad automatically opens the Photos app ready to import the new photos. The only issue I have experienced so far is that images from the Canon PowerShot G7 X sometimes fail to import. I can't figure out why, and I can't determine if it has something to do with the images themselves or the OS on the iPad (iOS 8.2). Images from the Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100M3 work just fine.

It turned upload pics from my camera's SD Card with ease.. Good product, just a bit pricey for an adapter.

I wanted to move pictures from my camera to my ipad but there is no card slot on the ipad. A friend told me about this adapter so I bought one at Best Buy. I just insert the memory card from the camera into it then plug it into the USB on the ipad and the transfer runs automatically. Couldn't be easier.

This item is perfect for transferring my GoPro footage directly to my Ipad. I use an SD Adapter for my SD Micro card from my GoPro and with this device, I can put my footage directly onto my IPad mini and start creating my movies in iMovie. This is a "must have" item in my GoPro "Go" bag.

Great item! Keep in my DSLR case when I travel so I can quickly download new photos in my IPad mini and forward any I wish to send to family members. Small and convenient. Much better than a aftermarket connector which broke off, leaving the lightning connector still in my port.

Purchased this adapter to use on a recent trip to Costa Rica. It made transferring photos and video from the go pro to the iPad really easy. Only downside is Apple does not allow you to transfer anything back to the SD card. Other than that, really useful product.

I bought one of these a couple years ago from my old iPad and it did not work however I bought this one and it works great with my iPad mini. All you do is plug it in and put your ST card in it and boom you're putting pictures right onto your iPad. It's that easy
