This laptop is excellent for university. It is really lightweight, thin, and works great overall. Although you have to buy a separate adapter for the USB/HDMI inputs, it is definitely worth the trade off for a thinner laptop.

Just about as portable as an iPad, but with all the functionality of a Mac. The single USB-C may be a challenge for some, but if you have a Dropbox account (or something similar, as most do), it's not an issue. The wireless age is upon us, and Apple is pioneering what it wil look and feel like.

I bought this to replace a PC. I decided on apple because the seamless use of multiple apple products in conjunction together and this delivered! The screen delivers great quality. Despite only having one USB-C port and a headphone jack this is a great product. Would recommend!

I have a macbook air 13" which I really like until this 12" came out. love the retina display, light behind keyboard, very light and fits in most purses without extra weight. Love the gold color . Employees very helpful and very pleasant even in the last minute Christmas rush.

The new MacBook is so lightweight and easy to use. The keyboard is comfortable and feels like it should belong to a much larger computer. The new features of the touch keys make the MacBook almost seem intuitive.

Best option for a consumer with a on-the-go lifestyle. This Mac is small (not too small) and compact, and light which are all plusses in my book. The price correlates well with what you get as it is not $2,000.

This is an upgrade to my 2009 MacBook and what a difference! It's super fast, super light, and has a great display! Battery is great and it never gets hot. Great buy!

My girlfriend was head over heels for this MacBook. It moves faster than anyone she's had before. The Retina display is almost unbelievable. It's gold, which she had to have! It made the perfect Christmas gift.

I bought this computer because everything I have is Apple, my phone, I own an iPad and it just seemed right to get a Apple computer so I could have everything all in one place. I absolutely love this computer! It is slim and lightweight, which I need being a full time student carrying around a heavy computer all day is exhausting. I would definitely buy another Apple computer in the future!

This MacBook is perfect; really thin and great for quick access to a computer. Boots fast and battery life is great. Very nice full size keyboard with keys that feel solid. Force touch trackpad is crazy cool.

If you are looking for a laptop to surf the internet, steam movies and is great for traveling than this the laptop to buy. I was looking at the iPad Pro for the larger screen, then I found this. The screen size is the same, but with this thing you get 8gigs of RAM and 256gig hard drive, compared to the iPad Pro's 4 gigs of RAM and max 128gig hard drive. Also this laptop is a lot lighter than the iPad Pro! I am not sure how it handles the harder work like video and picture editing but for what I use it for it work fantastic. Also I really like the new keyboard and the battery life if good too.

I needed a new laptop computer that was compact and light for frequent travel. Having always been a Windows user I initially only looked at these offerings all loaded with Win 10. On reading user reviews for various models, it became clear that there was inevitably going to be a large number of serious both software and hardware problems requiring support. This I did not want to be exposed to and I knew that Apple products were well made and trouble free so here I am writing this on an Apple. No regrets.

Purchased this laptop to replace an older one. Really enjoy that it is lightweight but still powerful. It has a full sized keyboard in a small space and is easy to use even though it is small in size.

Everything I'm looking into a new machine. The size is remarkable. The keyboard took a little time to get used to. Everyone complains about the ports but it hasn't really been a major concern for me. Speed and design is a nice touch. I would recommend this.

This MacBook is wonderful in today's age of portability. It is best suited for Mac users who are well versed with the Cloud, as its slim design eliminates a USB port and CD drive (similar to the Air models). If you want the speed and processing capability of a true MacBook but don't want to give up USB connections, I recommend picking up a USB-C Digital AV Multipart Adaptor while in-store. It will allow you to connect your traditional USB, a charger, and an external CD at the same time.

This Macbook is very light and very functional. I am a student and wish it had a CD drive but I have learned to make due with the CD/DVD drive share and with the dongle I bought for the Macbook. It runs like a champ and the battery lasts a long time.
