I bought this laptop to replace my MacBook Air from 2010. This laptop runs so smooth and is lightning fast. Retina screen looks fantastic

the size and weight of this lap top make it so easy for students carry it classroom to classroom and has grate programs for note taking.

Super lightweight and has amazing features and speed. Looks awesome as well.

Works plenty fast running photoshop, surfing the web, word, PowerPoint, excel etc. bought a sub adapter, keep it in my backpack and I haven't noticed a lack of ports in the slightest

I had a difficult choice to make between the MacBook Air and the MacBook. The specs were close. What made the difference in the end for me was the amount of RAM that came in the MacBook. I could live without the ports; I could live with a slower processor (on paper), but the RAM would be something that I would be stuck with and having more is better. The keyboard took very little time to adjust to and the screen resolution is amazing.

This machine is a very good machine for the right user who needs a very portable computer. I use it more than my iPad now. Performance is better than expected with applications like word, excel, powerpoint, outlook, Xcode, etc. Only drawback is the keyboard is tough to get used to. Been using for a week now (had the base model for a week also) and still not comfortable with keyboard. This may be a show stopper for me but I love the portability and the screen is awesome.

Pros: very light, long battery, retina display. Cons: it would be good if going with intel graphic HD 6200, but okay for regular using!

This is a gift for my Brother In Law! He is an apple collector, and even before this was available in india I sent this with my Parents. He informed that the battery back up is awesome and fell in love with the sleek look of it.

I'm traveling a lot and need a super lightweight laptop, this laptop battery life is good and is very lightweight, i like it.

i bought this laptop just a month ago and I am surpised to see the great features apple has provided in this laptop. The slim look of macbook air, the retina display of macbook pro is a definitely a win for those who are looking for macbooks with both. One negative point of this laptop though is that there is only one USB-C port on this laptop. Which means that you will have to buy expensive adapters to convert USB, HDMI, charging, ethernet to USB-C signals. The market price of such multiport adapters is $79 from Apple. I think Apple should provide this adapter along with this macbook, as it is a necessity for probably everyone.

Mac is an easy to use computer for all. The color is fantastic. The battery life is wonderful. It is so lightweight I can stick it in my purse and do homework on the go!

retina display is awesome. the size is very compact and convenient comparing to 13' inch MBA

I purchased this MacBook because, I wanted to carry it around at school. I’m glad I decided to get this product instead of the pro because, it literally doesn’t weigh a thing. I take it with me to class everyday and use it for notes in class. The mobility is just so convenient. The only downside I have with this laptop is, the buttons are so tiny my “A” button often gets stuck. It still works just doesn’t have a full click like the rest of the keys. However, this is why I purchased Apple care. When ever it really starts bothering me I’ll just take it in for a fix.

I have an older 13" MacBook Pro with a much more powerful processor than this new MacBook but with the SSD and the way they have built the new MacBook, it is amazingly faster to boot up as well as in running programs than the MBP. It is very light and the keyboard is excellent in spite of how shallow it is. They have done a superb job of engineering this computer and I am impressed. All I can say is WOW!

the new macbook is light, durable, and runs just as well as my macbook pro.The extra bonus is that the retina display is much more clear compared to my regular macbook.

Great for students because it is very portable and light weight.

This is how I work, if the item isn't portable enough - I'm not going to use it. So with most of my laptops (even certain heaver 13" to 15" laptops - they just sat at home. It didn't encourage me to take them out and about. I love this laptop, Its super thin, feels like a small pamphlet - powerful for my real estate needs, long battery life and exquisitely clear screen. No complaints here.

I love how light weight this computer. It's perfect size for on the go. And had to gold. Like the color, ,allows it stand out and match my iPhone and new itouch.
