Love the 12" MacBook. Switch from 11" MacBook Air to this one and very pleased. It's light, compact and powerful.

I love the new MacBook! Perfect compact size & super-light. I was comparing between the Air & the new MacBook but I'm glad I waited! I was skeptical at first about having no other actual inputs without an adapter, but I'm quickly realizing how little I use those inputs. I download everything anyway. I've been putting it through its paces though. It does get a little warm when it's working hard but it seems to dissipate heat pretty well. I was also super-impressed with bestbuy since I ordered this computer a few days after its release & had it in hand in 5 days. Even Apple can't get them to you for 3-4 weeks! I love the gold color and I thought the Gold Apple stickers (they include with any product) was a nice touch.

Best screen, best SOUND, most PORTABLE Was worried about M processor at first. It was slightly faster than the latest MacBook Air & only $100 more than the Air. Sound of the 15" pro Screen of the 13" & 15" pro Lighter than all of them. Half the weight of the 13" pro. Office works flawlessly with it. Cmd+space bar+ WO+ return & word is open!

I recommend purchasing the USB-C multiport adapter with the MacBook since you can only plug in 1 cord at a time (excluding the headphone jack). No cooling fan equals quiet operation of the laptop, thin & light design makes it a dream to use and carry around the home or office. If you're looking for something with performance doing photo or video editing, I'd suggest looking at the MacBook Pro lineup instead.

A decent laptop overall, great for travel given its slim dimensions. However, if you plan on doing a lot of typing on this thing, look elsewhere. The VERY flat keys makes for many typing errors ands slows down your typing speed. The trackpad, however, works very well. Great for web browsing and some limited productivity use. The processor lets it down for anything even modestly intense. Yes it looks nice, and that's its best feature unfortunately.

Great super light weight laptop with excellent screen display, comfortable keyboard and above average battery life. When I went looking for a replacement for my Mac Air I was thinking 13 inch MacBook Pro until I got my hands on this 12 inch beauty. What most impressed me beyond the weight was how awesome the screen resolution was making my fading eyesight a non issue. Like many I saw the single port as a step back but will admit that with the $70 hdmi/USB adaptor its a non issue.

Love the portability! I was initially hesitant due to only having one Port for data, but have found it to not be an issue for me. Very light & easy to haul around, great battery life for my usage, & stylish design.

This computer is extremely lightweight, has an easy to use interface and a very clear screen. It is perfect for traveling and use at home. The only downside is that there is only one port and the processor is a little under the other models but it makes up for that with other features. I recommend buying an apple tv with this device so you can wirelessly share files from your computer to your television.

I am coming from a older MacBook Pro to this MacBook and I have to say, I was concerned at first that it would not be powerful enough and I was wrong. It works great and I love the key board, but I will say if your trying to do things that require a lot of power, such as games, then this is not the Mac your looking for. I use it primarily to do email, web surf, music, movies and light photo editing.

I have the 15" Macbook Pro, but I'm currently going to ASU so carrying it around campus was too much of a hassle (as it's a pretty heavy laptop). So I bought this laptop because it's super light, fits right onto the little tables provided in lecture halls, and because it comes in the pretty gold color! If you need something super lightweight, I would suggest this laptop!

I find that this has become my go to computer. Its so portable I take it everywhere. The battery lasts all day, the keyboard is still taking so getting use to. Im not sure that I like the keyboard but everything else is fantastic on this computer. The thing is fragile though had to add a case to it which added to the bulk of the computer not a fan of that.

Bought it for travel. Use it more and more every day. Lightest and best for just about everything I need it for when mobile. I always wanted an iPad like device (light, great screen, lots of functionality) with a full keyboard and expandability. Perfect for me. Your mileage may vary.

Really like the size of this Macbook. You can easily put it in your backpack, and take it with you. Bought one of these for my son for college use. I liked the portability so I picked up one for myself. Wish there were a couple more ports on it.

This computer is light weight, high performing and easy to use if you are familiar with the Apple platform. If you need a computer for travel, this works great!

This Macbook is a pleasure to use. It is lighter (about 2 lbs) than any other Macbook. The Retina display is beautiful. For most everyday tasks such as web-browsing and email, the processor is adequately powerful.

If you are a traveller, student, executive, or anyone who does not do heavy-duty computing, this may just be the perfect Macbook for you. It is light and fabulously portable. The retina screen is gorgeous !!

This is my fifth or sixth Macbook. The retina screen is fantastic. Had concerns about not having USB inputs, but so far so good. Just had to invest in a HDMI/USB/USB C adapter. The new Macbook is very compact, and as usual, a well-built and beautiful product!

I'd been in the market for a new personal laptop for quite some time. I'm an "Apple guy," so brand wasn't the deciding factor--it was weight, size and capability. This MacBook wins on all three. Some folks will complain about the single USB-C port (and I'll admit I had my reservations), but in the month I've owned this machine, I can honestly say it's caused me no conflict. Between my devices I utilize an iCloud account, so accessing documents is a breeze. My fast in-home wi-fi also does away with the need to utilize any direct ethernet connection. The display is stunning, and the performance is great. The 500GB of flash storage is a dream, and even with fan-less architecture, the machine runs cool. If you're looking for a high performance laptop for personal use or travel, this is the one.

good one as laptop (macbook), if cd,dvd,and blue ray included with the same size same the extra ports will be perfect but still not bad for other like processor and speed and storage its enough. price could be little bit less and more better deals to save much more be exactly perfect to get and have.
