I ordered a refurbished MacBook Air and it arrived in horrible condition. The USB ports and charging port were completely caked and crusted in some sort of grime. There was some sort of sticky residue all over the edges. Last, but not least there was a big etched stamp that identified the laptop as being property of some school in Texas. None of this was mentioned in the listing. I love Best Buy, but I would definitely warn people against purchasing refurbished computers online. I returned the item and bought a brand new MacBook, but I think Best Buy should have compensated me for the hassle I had to go through with the refurbished laptop I was sent in horrible condition. The Geek squad did their best to clean up the refurbished one, but in the end I felt the risk of keeping the item was too great due to the strong evidence of lacking prior care. There were no replacements available so now I have to continue driving around town to return all the accessories I bought for that model. Not happy...

I needed a new computer but would not get heavy use out of it so I decided to buy a refurbished MacBook since I couldn’t afford a brand new one. When it came, the operating system wasn’t downloaded and I had to bring it into the store to be fixed overnight. When I got it back and began downloading all of my things to it, setting up office and iCloud, etc, the screen kept dying every couple minutes or less so I had to end up returning it. I did receive a full refund for Office and the MacBook, though, so that was a plus. Best Buy made it easy to return.

Worked great for an hour then shut off and never came on again. It was a waste of time and money and a huge burden. Tried to exchange in store and all Best Buy could offer me was a cheap tablet. Never again and please do not buy this product. You will be incredibly disappointed.

This MacBook arrived in horrible condition. USB ports and charging port were caked with dirt and crusty stuff and there was a sticky substance on the laptop surfaces. There was no mention in the advertising to indicate the MacBook had a very good size permanent etching on the back stating it was property of some school in Texas. I returned it to the local Best Buy and spent an extra $250 to buy a new 13.3" MacBook Air. Disappointed that an item in that condition would be sold by Best Buy and for $550.

MacBook Air moves pretty slow but gets the job done

Crazy, I bought this MacBook in 2017 still works like a charm.

It shuts down after 20 min of using it and the battery it’s drained fast after using it for about 10 min. It’s charged 100% after 10 min of using it it’s at 90%.

This machine was not equipped with an operating system which rendered it useless. Even Apple support was unable to help address the issue. Luckily the staff at Best Buy was excellent and helped my son and I find a nice iPad Pro, and we applied the money spent on the MacBook toward the cost of the iPad. Very happy now.

I like the MacBook air it is a compact lightweight computer that does all i need it to do.

Everything works well and you don’t have to worry about having it fix since it’s pre-owned
