It works but it’s been previously used

I didn’t notice until I had already set up all of my documents for school. The computer said I had apps that needed to be updated and when i tried to update them it said that due to them being downloaded with a different account (previous owner) I couldn’t update them. I will be reaching out to Apple. If I wanted a used computer I would of bought a refurbished one for a much lower cost.
