Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Apple MacBook Pro's ease of use, performance, lightweight design, and battery life, with many praising its size and aesthetics. However, customers are negative about the limited number of USB and other ports, as well as the small storage capacity. Some users also noted that the device can get warm during extended use. While a few found the touch bar unnecessary, the overall feedback highlights a strong preference for the laptop's portability and usability.

    Very Satisfied but ALSO disappointed

This MacBook Pro is a thing of beauty. Its fast in every way, so light that I can carry it every where, and it has yet to crash on me. Connects to my Apple TV's around the house without a problem. Now as for why I am disappointed is I needed to purchase a USB-C to USB 3.0 Mini Adapter. Its the only way to be able to charge my phone with it. I need to use one to connect my portable hard drives and well anything that needs a USB port. The adapter was only $10 but its the principle that they could've added at least one on the Pro.

This is half as big and twice as powerful as my previous MacBook Pro. It's great for traveling, keyboard is fine for typing, beautiful display, good sound volume. Unfortunately, there are only two ports. To plug anything in, eg; film cards, USB devices, etc, you need an adapter or a hub. The hub I tried DID NOT work with the CD/DVD Superdrive 's USB plug. It needed an adapter, which worked fine. Bluetooth, and Airdrop are good.

This is my second MacBook Pro. My first 15" went 6 years with daily use. Apple MacBook Pro display is beautiful high definition and my 2017 13" is even a higher definition than my 2011 model. Never worry about a virus and my 2017 model has almost a 10 hour battery charge. Big improvement.

I came from the world of PC and my first impression and expectations was to have stability for creation of music. To my surprise the MacBook Pro not only secured hi resource demanding software it never glitched or blue screened I was really shocked amazed and really happy with the results. I don’t really find usage for the Touch Bar but would strongly recommend anyone to purchase the MacBook Pro for professional results.

This is my first MacBook. Prior to this I spent a lifetime on Windows and Linux computers. Those who raise the question of price (I did as well) should look at all the indicators, licensing renewals, longevity, resale value, etc. Here's what I can offer. - They keys are lower profile than my Dell Precision M3800 which threw me off at first, but now that I've put in about 40 hours of time, I'm typing faster and with less movement. - The batter lasts a long time. If I charge it fully and show up at the office at 8AM, I won't even think about charging it all day. I still bring my adapter every morning to work but I never take it out of my bag. I expect that from my Chromebook, but from a laptop with such a nice display, with rich colors, contrast and resolution, yea... I'm very impressed. I've been typing on this thing for the last 4 hours non-stop and it's currently at 88% capacity. - Updates! I already got the latest version of Mac's operating system that was released. Something I didn't realize, upgrades are included. If they come out with a new version of MacOS, I just install it, I don't have to buy it again. If I want to upgrade my Dell, I'd have to pay at least $100 for Windows 10. - The touchpad is not a button at all. It's just a flat piece of glass, but as soon as you turn it on, it acts as though it is a button. The main benefit is that there are no 'dead zones' on the pad. No matter where you press, it gives your fingers the same response. - The operating system is paired really well with iPhones. I keep finding more and more integration between my phone and MacBook, and in the most sensible places. - Macs include "Boot Camp", a program that will walk you through installing Microsoft Windows 10 right along side Mac's OSX. I did that right away just to see how it would go. It was flawless and windows ran rather nicely on the Mac. So now I have the best of both worlds, mainly using Windows for games like Lego Worlds. - The sound system is solid. Lots of bass, clarity, and full volume without vibrations or buzzing. I don't use my speakers much, but it cuts through the room when you're trying to listen to something in a noisy environment. - The webcam is solid as well. I was expecting a much taller walled garden, but what I see is a really good marriage of hardware and software, something that I think any company would want if they could pull it off. When I turn my MacBook off I miss it already. Maybe it's the Apple logo, or it's wonderful display, intuitive applications and features. I honestly don't know, but something about this MacBook just makes me really happy and no regret. And for the many Windows computers I've owned, I've never felt as content.

This laptop is perfect for college. It's small enough to where it's not a distraction or too big for the desks in giant lecture halls. The battery life is insane and everything is snappy. I was a little bit iffy about switching to OSX due to always been a windows user but for portability this thing is wonderful.

I bought this for my home office and it is quick, reliable, and runs sooo smoothly! It's a breeze to use, it crunches numbers quickly and has no problem connecting quickly to wi-fi. It's also light and portable and takes up very little space!

I've been a PC guy for my entire adult life. Built, worked on, used professionally and for gaming. I got tired of my work laptop being so slow, and wanted a Unix kernel machine for some work related learning, and decided to try a Mac. I am delighted with my Macbook pro. Productivity is much improved, even over my 3 monitor PC setup. I Grant you that some of that productivity is due to having a faster machine to work on, but a large part is the desktop switching inherent to Mac OSX, and not having to pick up my phone ever few minutes to answer a text (since they show up on my Mac). Brilliant. There is no way around it... There are things you just can't do on a Mac they way you do on a PC. For my situation, that is a tiny price to pay outweighed by the massive upside. Pros: FAST. Light, easy to lug around. Decent battery life. Continuity features between iPhone and Mac (instant on personal hotspot, calls/texts on computer, application handoff). Sturdy. Amazing multitasking using multiple desktops. Amazing screen (even at 13") Cons: abysmal storage space. Lack of ports (only has 2 USB C connections and a 3.5mm jack). EXPENSIVE. Keyboard design issues (Google it, but they extended warranty coverage to 4 years for the keyboard). Accessories are expensive. Overall, I can't believe how great this machine is. I'm very disappointed my bias against Mac to keep me from this level of performance for so long. I cannot recommend a MacBook pro enough. That being said, skip this model and get the 256 gig SSD model instead. You'll fill up 128GB before you leave the parking lot, unless you're prepared to go with an upgraded iCloud storage account (not a bad idea anyway).

This most recent model of Macbook Pro (2017) comes in a slick design and offers great and fast performance. The Retina Display is amazing. The only caveat for the model I purchased is that it comes with only a 128 GB hard disk (you can get the bigger storage hard disk for a higher price though). I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

I am a Real Estate Agent. I have this computer hooked up to a 29" ultra wide 4k monitor and it pairs PERFECTLY. At any time I will have about 6-10 documents or pages open and it shows ZERO sign of slowing down or lagging. The keyboard took a little bit of getting familiar with, but now I love it and feel very efficient when typing! One feature that was a total surprise to me is the Apple Watch "Unlock"! This is AWESOME! If you are wearing your Apple Watch and you go to open your laptop, it will automatically unlock the laptop! No codes, taps, or fingerprints required! Another great feature I didn't know about was how easy it is to switch from one Mac to another if you use iCloud. I literally put in my Apple ID info and everything instantly transferred from my old iMac to this laptop. Including website shortcuts, passwords, settings, screen savers, documents etc! I don't have the model with the touch-bar but I honestly didn't see the added value it carried for the extra $3-400 price point. If it's ever $150 more and you also get an additional 2 thunderbolt ports then I'd say it's worth it. Otherwise go with the base model and you'll be more than happy!

Although I have other Apple products (iPhone, watch, iPads, etc), this is my first Apple computer...and I love it! I never considered getting one because of the cost, but so far it seems like it's worth the investment. I'm not a techie kind of person, so specs don't really mean much to me. It just needed to be lightweight, fast, user friendly and reliable. So far, all of those conditions have been met - and then some. Battery life is great, I also love the fact that I can get text messages and I can FaceTime straight from my MacBook Pro!

I have been using this for over a month and love it. It's relatively light and compact and the screen is is very bright, a huge improvement over the MacBook Air that I replaced with this one. Its about the same size and weight but much more powerful. The battery life seems much improved as well. The keyboard is a little different then previous MacBooks but after a short time you get use to it. looking into a 4K monitor to use with this as well and will post an update once i have chosen one.

Traded in my 2011 MacBook Air for a new MacBook Pro and wow! The display and colors are so vivid, faster, and doesn’t weigh much at all. Only downfall is the headphone port is for the older style headphones (3.5mm headphones) and it doesn’t have a plugin for the lightning connector headphones. It wasn’t a big deal but just a heads up. Oh and there’s no USB port, only 2 USB-C. I had to purchase a USB-C to USB adapter to use my flash drives and such.

We are definitely happy with our purchase of the Macbook Pro. Its pretty, its fast, its smooth. The only downfall is getting used to the Mac OS. We actually had a technical issue in the second week and Apple took care of it and sent it back to our house free of charge. Very happy with the service we got.
