This has everything you need. Good power, storage , beautiful screen and speakers. The new shape and size is great. Feels like an air in weight with better performance.

This is an excellent product for what I need it for. I got rid of my old desktop & now use this as my main home computer/laptop. I mostly use it for pictures, music, & videoes. I bought the extra memory. The quality is excellent! It's easy to use once you get used To the 'Apple' differences. The ports are different than most accessories require. So you have to buy an adapter. This is irritating because you always have to have this adapter with you. It's a little difficult to get around & find things. It took me a long time & a YouTube video to figure out how to store pictures on my external drive as I want my own copy as well. There are some neat conveniences too such as being able to text on the laptop. There are differences in how you scroll & where to find things. If you are already used to Macs, then this won't be an issue. There seems to be updates constantly though that you have to wait for. It is very light and extremely easy to transport. I also bought the external DVD player which works well with an adapter of course. Overall, the quality & base product is excellent with some minor usage inconveniences.

Needed to purchase a new laptop and couldn't decide. Ended up going for the 13' MacBook Pro. I previously. had the 15' MacBook Pro and really didn't want to veer from that. This new laptop works very well, it starts up when you open the screen (like Chromebooks), and it really light which I can appreciate! You do have to purchase a USB-C adapter for USB/HDMI ports. Also there isn't a slot to insert CDs, which I'm bummed about, but I guess you've got to go with the times.

First comment is that the Apple is just plain elegant feeling to me vs any Windows laptop I've had in the past. Now let me be clear, I have not had the Mac very long, but did have one as a secondary in the past. Now it will be my sole computer. First impressions; very light weight, keyboard feels like it types itself, display is REALLY bright and sharp, battery lasts longer than expected, could use one more USB-C port but not critical, touchpad works really great. These are just first impressions based on little usage so far, but I would say that I will likely be an Apple convert.

I have been using this computer for a few months. I upgraded from a retina macbook made within the past 4 years due to my previous one being stolen. Overall, i've been really happy with the computer, but i will put some random thoughts. As a side note, i am a relatively casual user, with some aspects of "power user" (photo/video editing, gaming). -I wouldn't have upgraded, but for the computer getting stolen. I definitely notice a difference in power, but it's marginal enough for what i do that i likely wouldn't do it without a good reason. -Only having USB C ports can be annoying, but devices that support usb c are super fast. It also allows for an external GPU, which i ultimately intend to get. -The laptop can get hot when doing heavy load tasks for an extended basis. If you are the type that likes to plug a lot of things in, i'd consider a different model (either an older model, or the touchbar model as it has 4 usb c ports.) Just know, you will be in dongle purgatory until the industry catches up. But when it does, hopefully it will "pay off".

This laptop has served me extremely well for all my student needs. It is fast, light, has great battery, and a pleasure to use. I also love typing on the butterfly keyboard. I would definitely recommend this laptop for all students looking to buy a reliable laptop. (Had an issue with the charging port, which was easily fixed by googling the issue—solved by resetting the SMC, by holding down Shift+Control+Option+Power.)

Was nervous about switching from my standard laptop to a MAC. I'm glad I made the switch! Love how easy it was to set up and all of the safety features. Love the chat features and how easy it is for me to chat/text with my son while I'm working on the computer. Lightweight and small enough to easily carry along wherever I go. Large enough to type comfortably on the keyboard and view what's on the screen. Wish there were more ports, but was able to resolve that issue by purchasing a USB to Type C hub. Problem solved!

Just switched from Windows and impressed by the performance. Great battery backup, easily lasts a day. Quite sleek and compact. Would have to get a USB 3.0 and HDMI adapter as it just has Thunderbolt ports. Overall, a great laptop.

I purchased the Mac Book Pro for my son who will be attending his freshman year at college this fall. I was impressed by the small size of the laptop and the resolution on the screen. The colors are sharp and vibrant. The computer is fast and the battery lasts a long time. We added Office and the extended warranty plan so my son could complete his assignments and have peace of mind knowing that if something went wrong with the laptop it would be covered. The salesman was friendly and knowledgeable.

I love this MACBook pro that I was given for Xmas, I read the reviews for the air were so so an not the best for performance, so i asked for the pro and I couldn’t be happier. It processes fine, it’s high quality, and my previous laptop lasted for 5-6 years and it was a toshiba. I loved that computer but it was starting to die so I ended up with this pro and so far so good. It’s lightweight, backlit, and very simple to use. I’m still learning some things but I’m confident in my purchase.

Light, Slick, and fast. i wish there were all of the ports from the previous models; 2 USC-C ports require adapters to use. The trackpad is great. I prefer the raised keyboard unlike that of the 2018 Macbook air. This uses a SSD instead of flash memory as well.

I made the transition after years only knowing a PC. Since I have an iPhone and iPad it won't as hard for an 63 year old non-techie person how to learn use an Apple laptop. First of all it weighs less than half the weight of my old Dell laptop-around 3 lbs. It's 2/3 thinner and has a beautiful sleek modern design. That was also a big part of choosing the Mac Book Pro over the Mac Book Air because the screen edge/frame seems visually bigger. The higher definition was another plus and I did not want to compromise and look back regretting not spending a few extra dollars for this better upgrade. The keyboard is also different and keys are less "sticking up" than the Mac Book Air. It was not a difficult transition on keyboarding. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. Best of all it was $250.00 cheaper than the Apple Store. I was all set to purchase one at the Apple Store and 3 days before my appointment at Apple, I received a Best But email advertisement and by curiosity checked the model and price. This was a pleasant surprise. I purchase the Microsoft Word and HyperHub accessories and still was within my savings budget. For those who are Apple beginners or even lifelong learners, please take the free Apple Classes at the Apple Store. Each class is differnt and they are in small groups and not intimidating. Bring a list of quetions on write them on a sticky note and place it on your computer next to your track pad. I used this to even write down additional notes during the class.

Another great Apple product. Super fast, looks good, light weight. You will not be disappointed. Easy setup, especially if you are a previous Apple user. Bought toprimarily deal with photos, and have not been disappointed.

My last MacBook Pro was a 2010 model and still works today. I decided to purchase a new computer due to issues with iCloud and downloading photos. Moreover, the most recent OS is not compatible with the old computer. I’m disappointed in the lack of ports which will force me to eventually purchase a USB hub. The screen is beautiful, and I love the computer despite the port issue. It’s much faster and weighs less as well. Hope it lasts as long as my 2010 model!

Powerful computer for the price, size and capacity. If you're on the go but also want full blown functionality, this is the computer for you. The Air is ok but the Pro line is your best bet if you're looking to do some heavy duty office work, graphic design, etc. Recommended to get a USB hub extension as the ports are minimal and also utilize the built in hard disk space as much as possible. Also, forgo the TouchBar and get the model without--useless gimmick that sucks an otherwise terrific battery.

This is our second new macbook pro and we love it! Excellent battery life with extremely quick charge. Quick processing as well. Cons- no out of box USB slots requiring you to buy an additional adapter.

This MacBook is beyond amazing. Super fast and built to last. The Mac book is very well designed. Only bad thing is only 2 usb-c ports. Should have bought the next model up.
