Bought this computer to replace my old 2009 macbook pro so far it been everything i need for college and better super fast light as well and the retina display is just great highly recommend it for anyone.

While this is admittedly the first Mac I've ever owned, I have to ask myself why have I waited so long?!!! This laptop exceeds all my expectations! It is snappy quick, beautiful in design, light, and works seamlessly across my other iOS devices. I am super happy!

This is a great computer to have. I previously purchased a hp laptop from best buy for school, which was my primary function and use for this laptop, and it clunked out in a year. This mac however works fantastic. It's fast, reliable, easy to use, and the battery life is phenomenal. The picture quality is amazing and helps when typing or researching for long periods of time. It does not get hot like other computers when using for long periods. I do not like Apple but this macbook changed my view on computers and won't be getting anything else but a Mac book from now on.

I recently purchased this MacBook Pro laptop to replace a stolen laptop that was on its last legs. I was a little worried about not having more hard drive space and a CD/DVD drive. However, the speed and retina display more than make up for that. I solved the lack of a DVD drove by buying the USB external super drive that Apple makes. I don't need it all the time so it's not a big deal. The flash storage is only 250 GB and I've already used more than half of that, but it has forced me to keep large files on an external HD where there is less chance of losing them. If you're looking for more storage space on your laptop, pay for the larger HD. Otherwise, 250 GB should be enough for most users who don't store a ton of photos, videos or songs directly on their computer. The display is awesome. The speed is super fast. This laptop is great for those used to Macs. I highly recommend this.

I've always been a Mac user, but this laptop is absolutely amazing! It's really fast, the quietest laptop I've ever had, and it's very lightweight and easy to take to classes every day. The battery life is also a lot better than any other macs that I've owned.

I am a long time iPhone and iPad user but this was my first time purchasing a Mac computer. That being said I couldn't be happier with my decision to switch from Windows to Mac. Granted there is a little bit of a learning curve getting adjusted to the Mac OS but once you get acclimated the system is really quite intuitive and easy to use. As for the hardware the computer is very fast and has excellent battery life. Also the design is very sleek. Can't say enough good things about my new MacBook, excellent buy.

Another Macbook added to the family. This one replaces one my son has had for over 6 years that had to be replaced because water was spilled on it, otherwise it would still be going strong. We are an Apple family and this computer is well worth the price.

i love love love my macbook pro w/retina. i was worried that it may be to small but not at all. the picture is excellent and the performance is the best i've ever had. i will never go back to the junk i had previously. if your considering buying one, do it!

I bought this for my daughter for college. The 8GB of RAM and SSD were key components. The sale price of this unit was actually less than comparably rated PCs. The battery life of the 13.3" version and lightweight make this the perfect Mac for us.

The Macbook I purchased is an outstanding product. FAST! Light and portable with all the bells and whistles you have to come to expect from Apple products. The retina display makes a great difference.Purchasing this laptop was a great decision.

This laptop is fast, light, and has great battery life. The battery life is what drew me to this laptop. I can go for 9 hours without charging! My previous laptop lasted three hours.

I've owned three different Apple laptops since 2005 and this is just the newest and greatest in a long line of satisfaction with computers that just work, period. Apple devices are solid, well made, beautiful, and consistent. Previous to this I used a 15 inch 2009 Macbook Pro and while there was absolutely no working problems with it I needed to make a transition to a smaller, lighter weight laptop. Bought this laptop in preparation of going to grad school this fall and know it will serve all of my needs from portability to dependability. I am especially a fan of the force touch track pad even though I was hesitant to make that transition initially. Additionally, the new magsafe power cord is a total upgrade for me. So far so good, I know I'll be able to use this laptop for the next 5 years just like both my previous Apple laptops.

My husband bought this product by the help of bestbuy sales rep. We originally planned buying the mac air but we checked the pros and cons and we were able to decide to buy this rather! The price was a little high for a laptop but its not just a regular laptop but also considered a multi tasking computer. I recommend to attend the free apple class offered by apple at bestbuy if you are not familiar with the system because mac is diff using any other apple products such as iphone. If you are looking for a dependable laptop, good quality retina, excellent sound, very cool keyboard lightning, lighter and so much features that can occupy your spare time, this is the best laltpop! I will never get tired of using it and also battery last longer than any laptops offered in industry!!

This model is the perfect choice for me because of the size and portability and the ease of use. It was easy for me to transition from a pc to this. The battery life is great.

I purchased my Macbook Pro with Retina Display because I have had a Macbook since 2009 and it has been the most reliable computer I have ever owned. In it's final year, the 2008 model macbook starting showing signs of aging. As I am about to start a graduate program in the medical field, I decided to go with another Apple computer because I am confident that it will meet all of my needs and won't give me any trouble along the way. I can't afford to have any performance issues over the next few years so I am confident that this Macbook Pro will be reliable and will work well for me. It has already been an amazing increase in speed and performance and the process to move all of my info from my old one to this new one was seamless. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this to any one looking for a computer.

Great computer - yes - more expensive, but, great design, fast, always works, and compatible with all my other products. Well built, and structurally strong. i5 is quick, and with everything cloud-based, storage isn't an issue.

Wanted to try something different with a nice screen. This laptop was exactly what I wanted. Good performer, light package, beautiful screen and the new touch pad is a plus.

got this laptop to do coding and person computer. Love how fast and light it is. Great screen on it and love how fast it starts up with the flash drive. Forgot what it is like to have a computer that fires up very quickly!!!

The new MacBook Pro is as lightweight as the Mac Air and is thin and compact. The retina display is worth the price. We added GB and pleased with our purchase. The Best Buy clerk was very good at assisting us in our choice, too!

This was an excellent power laptop packaged into a nice compact body. 13'' is the perfect size and it has a nice, powerful dual core i5 and the 256ssd should be more than enough given the new migration to cloud based storage.
