This is the worse purchase I could of ever made. I bought this for my Granddaughter as this is the computer she needed to do her schoolwork during the Covid pandemic. I will never ever buy a refurbished item from Best Buy again. They give you a lousy 15 days to return a refurbished item and no extra warranty to purchase. How do you know during those 15 day that the computer is going to crap out on you. Well my granddaughter had it for 3 months and it stopped working. Took it into the store in San Marcos & MGR refused to do anything. Besides being rude & unwilling to help she totally refused. We were sold a lemon the geek squad told us it was corrupted when we got it & she still refused to do anything so $750 thrown away.I guess that kind of money to her is like $2.00 I will never buy a refurbished or used computer again. It just goes to show that BEST BUY doesn’t stand behind any of their warranties

The keyboard did not illuminate completely. This MacBook operated very slowly and I returned it.

Only had about a month but so far so good. Didn't need latest Pro when price taken into account. This is first time buying reconditioned so I purchased warranty for peace of mind.

This Review is more for this MBP's Seller, than the product itself: Best Buy has some company called "JemJem" which sent me a well-below par product. Granted, it was Pre-Owned, but one would NEVER EXPECT Best Buy to sell products, (even if pre-owned), with such severe damage to the MBP's aluminum casing, as to indicate it had been seriously dropped, at least twice. Another obvious Indication was that though this MID-2012 device's original Drive was likely a Hard Drive (as it IS STILL labeled to be--in spite of my repeatedly pointing it out to them it isn't) but upon close inspection within the "About this Mac" Technical Specifications, finding it was in fact an SDD drive. More grievously, upon thoroughly running the device through "TechTool Pro 11, I found multiple Error messages in its DDR3 Memory, and a low remaining Battery life (no screenshots of these reports could be kept, as I had to erase the HD, and Re-install the Mac OS through Apple, before returning it to Best Buy, which I did the following day--but not before spending Hours on end, speaking with a variety of Customer Service, and Geek Squad "experts," who were either DISINTERESTED in the Fact their Employer was selling such Below par devices (AND THIS IS NOT A COMMENT ON APPLE DEVICES THEMSELVES--WHICH IS 99% OF ALL I'VE USED FOR 31 YEARS). They simply listened, then either hung-up on me, without resolving the fact this product shouldn't even be getting sold by Best Buy, in the first place, or endlessly transferring me elsewhere. Furthermore, WHAT IS "JEMJEM" anyway? Why is Best Buy allowing this company to sell a product in such a condition (while still costing well above its true value)? IT IS AN IRONY THAT ONCE I GOT PAST GETTING OVER NOT SHOPPING FOR A DECENT MAC, AT BEST BUY, THAT I ACTUALLY FOUND A DEVICE SUITABLE TO ME, AT (OF ALL PLACES) WALMART online--a store that I RARELY shop at. But, frankly perhaps I should re-consider my love of using Best Buy, and getting over my former Walmart phobia. SHAME ON YOU, BEST BUY! You must stop using sellers such as this "JemJem" company, which are obviously MISLABELING, AND NOT properly testing the products they sell. (A MacBook like this, I'd only expect to find, from a private seller, on sites such as Craigslist, or eBay, or such; NOT at Best Buy!

Solid macbook for great price. This handles all that I need it to do from word processing, gaming and watching movies. Mac Book Pro for the win!

Horrible , only had it for six months and the keys stop working and it will go completely black for days straight even though it’s fully charged!1

I DECIDED TO TRY A PRE-OWNED APPLE PRODUCT AND I WAS VERY SAD. IT WAS DAMAGED MORE THAN ADVERTISED SO I HAD TO RETURN AND BUY A NEW ONE WHICH TOOK 2 WEEKS AND A LOT OF HASSLE.

It should have never been sold. Couldn’t download any app, do updates etc….. they knew this before i purchased it

This was listed as a 2017 refurbished laptop. Found out after the return date that it was a 2012. They wont return it and l’m upset. Completely different style of laptop and processor. 5 year difference.

This PC was purchased last month and not the Battery is not taking charge.

great laptop use it for school very easy to use i recommend it
