Apple's latest iteration of the Apple TV brings some nice aesthetic improvements as well as some convenience changes that make the product an improvement over previous generations. The choices of background colors (light or dark) is nice if the TV will be on and streaming music in the background when you have people over, especially if you have a large screen. Additionally, the interface, which is not pre-populated with apps (such as Netflix), is clean and easy to use and understand. The setup of the Apple TV was easy as I simply had to put my iPhone with Bluetooth on next to the Apple TV and voila, ready to go within a minute. I have yet to use the controller for any of the Apple TV games that can be downloaded (some paid some free), but think I can see myself accessing them later for when guests are over. One thing that is missing is 4k ability which is unfortunate because TV seems to be heading that direction. Overall, nice improvements, and updated look.

This is my second Apple TV and the 4th gen is awesome! The picture quality is incredible with my 4K TV and the apps selection is so much greater. I'm so glad I got this latest model.

If you had any of the previous Apple Tvs, you know you are stuck with the apps that apple has already loaded on them. With the apple 4 there is now an app store where you have a much bigger selection of apps to pick from. As far as functionality, it works as smooth as the other models. Gave only four stars due to the dislike of the remote that comes with it. I normally use the app on my iphone to control the apple tv but on occasion I may reach for the remote that came with it. The remote functions fine but the materials are to delicate, one drop on the tile floor and it shattered the glass on the remote. I actually prefer the older apple tv remotes that were just made out of metal, they still work on the current model apple tvs. If you already have the apple Eco system in play or are wanting to start using it, the apple 4 tv is a good one to start with or upgrade to. If you have a 4K tv I would get the 4k apple tv.

I like the Apple TV Remote 4th generation because it has Siri feature and loads pictures faster. It is also easy to find the subtitle for closed captioning.

I wish I could replace the Rokus in my house with the new Apple TVs, but alas, we're not quite there yet. There's an App Store, which opens it up to developers like Roku and Firestick. (So awesome to have PLEX running legit!) However the lack of an Amazon Prime app (more of Amazon's fault) and incompatability with my cable provider Charter on some apps (HBO, Showtime, Nickelodeon) means I'll be hanging on to the Rokus for a little while yet. The Apple TV interface has always been the most pleasant to interact with, however the new remote is a bit of a miss. It's touch surface is pretty sensitive, and while you get used to it, the layout and weight means you invariable hold it backwards at least 50% of the time. It also is not very pleasant as a game controller. Also, Siri is severely hampered and can pretty much only search the web. But if you have iTunes media and Netflix/Hulu subscription, want AirPlay and casual games, it's pretty spot on. And will only improve as the platform matures.

The new apple TV is not only seek, but it's insanely user friendly. I love the new remote control and the use of siri! I'm always an apple tv fan seeing as I can apple play anything.

I own the Apple TV generation before this one, and I'm still happy with it. But, upgrading to the latest one was an easy choice. The apps and overall user experience is superior to the previous generation Apple TV. I'm thinking of picking up another to finally get rid of the old one on my other TV.

I purchased these two additional Apple TV boxes after having our first Apple TV for almost a year. I, personally, love them I have mostly Apple devices (phones, laptops, watch) so one thing Apple does well is the integration of devices. If I have a bunch of pictures on my phone or laptop I just airplay it to my Apple TV. Also the Blue Tooth on my TV seems to fail all the time so I very often watch my Apple TV with my wireless headphones and it works like a charm. The interface is simple and easy to get used to. I added one to a room with no cable connection so our guests now have a large selection of stuff to watch if that's their habit.

I couldn't wait for the newest Apple TV . So disappointed! Maybe it just needs the bugs worked out , but not at all impressed with the remote. Apps freeze up, hate the way music is presented on screen compared to older version. Nothing better about this Apple TV especially considering the price went up $50. If you have the older version, stay with it for now!

The Apple TV's pad is sensitive, maybe too sensitive. When watching a movie, you can fast forward, but only move forward by minutes at a time by pressing right side of the pad. However you can move the pointer on the bottom scale and advance a further distance. This is where you will have to practice moving the pointer due to the highly sensitive pad.

Siri, screen savers, App Store, tv app, remote app, games and the mirroring capabilities make options limitless!! If you already have apple products, this works with all of them!

If you use a Mac or iPad/iPhone the Apple TV is a great addition. Watching iTunes movies is a breeze

This new apple TV is amazing! It brings the best TV experience ever!!! It's fast and smooth. Also the App store on the Apple TV is really nice to have some great apps on this device.

Couldn't be happier with this Apple TV. We are so glad we went to streaming. We actually bought 2 of these so we have one in our living room. The interface is great. Wish it streamed 4k

The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have 4K. Other than that, more of the same.

Easy to scroll function. The siri function is also easy to use.

I'm a apple head I love my new Apple TV we upgrade from Apple TV 3rd generation and I have to say we love it especially the arial fly over for the screen savers awesome! We have it hooked up to our 65" Vizio with ARC going to the surround sound, I have all of my iTunes purchase movies love it!!

I bought the old version quite a while ago and it worked OK. The new version offers some additional features that make it worthwhile. If you're into games, its larger memory capacity will aid in storing programs and data. The new remote is pretty good but it took me a little while to figure out that the top section works as a button-click ONLY if you actually press down on it once the cursor is over your selection! I didn't realize it was a push-able button! It may have helped to read the manual first…but I didn't!

I owned the apple tv in the past. When I heard of th new one, I was very excited. Long story short, I was underwhelmed with the performance. I thought it was going to be significantly faster than the old one. Sadly, it's not. It's about the same. One the plus side, I do like the Siri remote and the app store. Bit other than that, it's pretty much the same.

This is my 3rd purchase of Apple TV boxes starting with the first generation. This box is great. I watch more from the Apple TV box than I do from cable. Also works great when you live in 2 homes. One in Tennessee and one in Florida. Use number of app's where I get access from my cable company.
