This is my 3rd Apple TV. All of them still work great, just wanted to have the ability to use the App Store and the new features. A hiccup or two after I first got it, but it is working great. Be sure you do not have an old router or you may need to upgrade. My routers are about 5 years old and the max speed using speed test to the Apple TV was 8 to 10 Mbps. Once I switched it to my wireless modem (still on wifi) it gets 25 to 27 Mbps using speed test.

My goal was to get my Macbook screen or my iPad screen or even my iPhone screen to be displayed on the TV. Accomplished using AirPlay. Added bonus is the slick remote. Very happy with this purchase.

I'm going to honest with ya, I wasn't going to buy this due the fact it doesn't have 4k. So I decided to pick up one at my local best buy. Let me tell you after hooking it up to my 4k t.v. I really can't tell the difference at all! Also love now you can install any apps of your choice. Loving my new Apple TV!!

Apple TV is the best streaming box I have found. I've used Roku 3&2 and neither of them are even close to the Apple TV. Also with apples integration of it softwares it work great with my Mac and iPhone. All around a great streaming box, the one downfall is it more expensive them most. But it worth the cost

We bought this so we could move our older Apple TV into the bedroom. The new Apple TV is awesome. Great new INTERFACE and remote. The voice search and control is great too. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade their current streaming player or who is looking to cut the cable cord.

I am obsessed with this thing! It performes incredible well and has SO many options for apps. Also love the airplay feature, which comes in handy when I want to bother my boyfriend with a funny video online. Recently have been using it for YouTube, MTV and to watch football! Amazing!

Having had Roku for over two years and dealt with the issues of picture freeze and some of the channels being lost after paying for them, I decided to buy Apple TV and find it easier to use, better picture quality and much easier to order movies and shows off of Itunes. All in all, a much preferred option.

I have owned the 1st and 3rd generation of the Apple TV. This 4th generation device was to replace my 1st generation unit. It is a great unit, although I would not recommend this device as an upgrade over the 3rd generation unit. There is not that much difference between the 3rd adn 4th generation unit.

Fast, simple interface. Siri is very functional and easy. Really disappointed that it's not ready for 4K.

We have had the original Apple TV for years and used it often although the search functions were a bit cumbersome and tedious. The New remote make searching and selecting quick and easy and Siri helps immensely, especially when we are not certain or cant quite remember exactly what we are searching for

I purchased the Apple TV about a month ago and use it daily as I recently cancelled my Uverse subscription. I use the Apple TV to watch HBO, YouTube, Crackle, and PBS. I originally intended to watch SlingTV on it but realized after the fact that there is no tvOS app (dumb). I've resorted to use the AirPlay mirroring feature on the Apple TV to connect my Mac laptop and/ or iPhone to stream really anything I want to the Apple TV. The AirPlay image quality is pretty good, probably 1080i at best, depending on the device your mirroring from. The AirPlay feature is very useful for me because I use it a lot for business purposes with my clients, and was actually a factor in choosing this device over the Roku 4 and others. We are a MacOS/iOS household so every device works organically with the other. I will probably purchase a Roku 4 anyway because if you're strictly looking for a content streaming device, I think the Roku 4 is the better product, at least until Apple gets its act together with TV. Easy to set up and use. The remote has SIRI so you can talk and it will take you to where you want to be. With Apple TV and a few add on subscribtions you will never be without something to watch or listen to. We enjoy Apple Music listening to old and current songs with our photos as the screensaver.

This Apple TV 4th Gen has proven it's worthiness, time and time again. Allow me to elaborate, please, grab a cup of wine. I hope you are enjoying the book room with it's low light setting, with the marble Earth globe to your left, the soothing piano music. These Victorian chairs are comfortable aren't they? Well, lets begin: The packaging of the Apple TV fourth generation, comes in a satisfying, matte black, hefty box. Open the box and you are greeted to the Apple TV, kindly introducing itself with its partner, the controller. As you explore the box, you find all the accessories and manuals. When you unwrap and grasp the Apple TV in your hands, you can not help but feel its soft, yet firm, textured build. You feel the Apple TV's premium build. The Apple TV Controller, feels elegant on the hands, has an immaculate size, not too big on your hand but not miniature, just.....right. The power cable is a flat cable, is above average length and has a soft texture as well. Onto its performance. Once the Apple TV is connected to the tv and powered on, you are presented with a straight forward screen. It asks for your desired language for pleasure. Once you select the language, it then goes to simplify the setup process. The Apple TV loves to share the experience with multiple devices. If you have an apple device, be it iPhone or iPad, it will allow you to bring it into the action by wireless connection. When place closed together, it retrieves information about your account, and runs it through and after a few minutes, asks for your iTunes password. To connect the Control, it'll ask you to gently press the touch pad on the controller, until it...clicks. From there, it will take on a solo run, allowing you to watch itself do its thing. It gives you a warning that the Apple logo may disappear but that's okay, it's working itself hard for you. When all is done, you are brought into its world. You see a colorful spectacle of designs and apps, each eager to be chosen to pleasure you, the master and user of it. You are allowed to swap around apps as well, as you please, but double tapping the controller. You can also have two things running for you as well. You can have it pleasure your ears with harmonic sounds while stimulating your vision with visual performances. The Apple TV enjoys having multiple command sources. Not only does it like commands from its control partner, but from other Apple Devices. Once you register an iPhone or iPad as a registered remote, you are set to take charge of the Apple TV. The remote performance is a smooth transition and abides by all its desires. If you want to switch back to the control, it will swap back to it. If you desire to verbally manipulate the Apple TV, you can tell it what to do via the voice command on the Apple TV controller. Tell it to show you a movie, a v show, put on subtitles, begin playing music or search for something you have in mind and it will succumb to your demand. All in all, this Apple TV will bring about a substantial satisfaction to meet all of your needs, and satisfy you in ways you haven't imagined. It's a powerful device, don't underestimate its abilities to perform.

We have a older apple TV that we are updating and I really like the new features. The apple TV remote is able to control my TV and I really like the touchpad like remote. I do wish they would ship this with a HDMI cable they are pretty cheap these days. Over all its fast does whats its suppose to.

This Apple TV is awesome! Much better than the earlier editions simply because you have the ability to add your own apps, instead of only having the apps provided for your Apple TV. It does cost a bit more, and I'm sure the price will eventually go down over time, but you do get a lot more too.

Have couple of the Gen3 models and this one is certainly fast. Ability to load only the apps you want and siri search are two big differentiators. Yes, youncan play games too, but not what I needed this one for. The Siri integration hopefully gets better to search across different platforms say a movie I like to watch on XFinity, HBOGO, Itunes and Netflix. Too bad Apple still does not accept Amazon Prime app. Sick of these stupid wars

I upgraded from an older version of Apple TV and I'm really happy with the easier to use interface and remote. The selection so far is limited but Apple is always adding new channels and apps and so far I am very happy I got this!

I bought a Roku 2 (2015) at first and I loved it, but I didn't like that it wasn't easy to stream content from my iphone/ipad to the Roku. Of course AppleTV has airplay and it is exactly what I wanted! Unfortunately, you can't airplay the xfinity app from your phone/ipad without jailbreaking (the main reason I wanted a streaming device), but it has a lot of the xfinity apps, which is okay (better than nothing). Plus, I like the Apple interface better than the Roku. It just looks cleaner. (The 2015 Roku2 is awesome though if you do get it!) I really like the scenic screensavers. It has a lot of great apps and the store is always adding something new, so that is great! Tons of free apps (not just the useless ones). I haven't used Siri because I feel weird talking to a remote, but my friends have this too and really enjoy the Siri feature. I don't know anything about specs. I have a 55" 4K TV and everything looks CRISP! Apple Music on the TV is just like on the phone/ipad - it's wonderful!

I have the previous version and love it, too! We've "cut the cable" and needed another Apple TV. I'm not a gadget/latest version must-have person, so I reluctantly let my son talk me into buying this version. I'm so glad he did. Its speed and accessibility to shows through Siri is great!

This generation of the Apple TV is by far the best yet. With the App Store for Apple TV, the motion sensitive remote, the quick connectivity between an iTunes media account and the Apple TV this device does it all. My only quirk is that VUDU isn't available although this is a VUDU issue as the app hasn't been developed by VUDU, not an Apple TV issue. And the inclusion of Siri and the ability to enter passwords, connect to wifi networks and search streaming content with your voice, it gets better and better.
