I upgraded from the 1st generation Apple TV, and the new generation is faster, and has a lot more available apps.

Bought this to replace my older Apple TV, gave the older one to my oldest kid, I wanted the one with the new cool remote, the old one still works perfect. This new one does seem faster, the remote is very nice kinda "slick" looking. The remote doubles as a remote for game play. Went with the 32gb because I'm really not sure if I would use even half of that storage, if so I would pick up the 64gb. Setup super easy plug and play if you have a iTunes account.

I had the older Apple TV and loved it and was glad that it worked so well for so long and I didn't have to pay more money to get the newest one, unfortunately, lightning fried my HDMI Switch and my old Apple TV and forced me to update to this one. I still love it. I actually like that I can pick which apps are installed on it. So it's not just full of a lot of apps that I don't use. So I guess I should thank the lightning for frying my old one.

Amazing set up, more intuitive than Roku I had and engages with Siri. Great interface and user friendly. Love it.

You can control the TV volume and can turn it on and off from the Apple remote. Battery life on the remote is great. There is an App for a back up remote. New apps make it a great alternative for cable.

The only problem I have with it is that the voice control doesn't work as well as they made it seem. It does work but only simple commands. The new version is definitely an upgrade and worth the money.

I've decided to finally drop cable service and with the savings invested in Apple TV which is the most premium of all streaming app devices. It's modern, sleek, and very easy to use. My 70 year old mother, who is terrified of technology, has even loved it! She just tells Siri what she wants to watch. It did require that I also invest in a more proficient wireless router so we can stream 2 apple tvs and other devices simultaneously, but it's well worth it!

The Apple TV is in my opinion the best option for streaming media. IE movies, music and it also has built in storage so that you can save media to it.

Upgraded our AppleTV and we love it even more. The remote is awesome as is the interface and accessibility.

Apple always amuses with the product upgrades and new functionality. It proved same with the apple TV. Only one thing which I am not able to get used to is the sensitivity of the remote. It would be good if that has been taken care. Other that that this is definitely one of the best production from Apple.

It does exactly what it should, and it does it WELL. What's more to say? It's an apple product. Set-up was made even EASIER this time around, as to import my iCloud and apple login information, all I had to do was set my iPhone on top of the device and wait a few moments. The new remote takes a little bit of time to get used to, but I navigate even faster than before with the new touchpad. Nice upgrade, Apple! Now, if it were just $50 cheaper...

Very easy to use with an abundance of features. The remote is easy to use as well. Love the voice commands.

Love my ATV but the remote is not as intuitive and easy to use as the prior and I've so far been unable to program the remote to operate my tv and soundbar...apparently it's common for Samsung devices.

I loved it, still having issues telling siri "HULU" and responding "WHO", Amazon Instant video App missing, and every time i ask siri to play a movie that i already have in my itunes account it will try to sell me something instead of just displaying what i already have. Once this gets fix 5 Stars no doubt

This Apple TV has amazing features that the first Apple TV, didn't have. I love the fact that you can play games on it as well as viewing everything on your tv. It's like a giant computer or iPhone.

As an owner of an generation3 apple tv, i find it great that it is app based allowing it to have more apps than the old one, maybe not quite roku...but its getting there. Gaming is fun. The remote seems fragile with the glass, they should have stuck with the older sturdier one....., but its a good upgrade.

We bought this to take on vacation with us. What a great idea! We were able to binge watch Netflix on our hotel room TV. And now we have an Apple TV for both living room AND bedroom.

Works great with Apple products - whether its from a Macbook Air, iPad or iPhone. Mirrors well & allows to download apps. Have not encountered any downsides yet, besides the price ;)

I bought this because my gen 1 Apple tv died. I bought this one for a replacement. Set up was VERY easy. I got this days before the 4K one came out. I did return it to get the 4K one
