Bottom line this is a great product for streaming. I have a roku and Apple TV, and I barely turn the roku on. The remote and Siri integration works amazingly. Great product, extremely satisfied with my purchase.

The remote is cool, Siri is cool, the idea that it turns off and on your TV is cool, volume control is cool, but i miss the old layout, Netflix isn't the same. You'll see...

I enjoy the Apple Tv because it's a device with a great user interface, nice design, and it fits perfectly into my apple ecosystem. Siri is good but it could be better. The remote is awesome. It brings much needed improvements over the previous remote. TvOs will seem familiar if you are an iOS user. However, if you are new to Apple, this device will be simple to use. I would recommend it to anyone thats interested in a versatile streaming box. The price is high but you do get what you pay for.

I own the older version of this and wanted to get the new one simply because of the features it offered; I liked the idea of SIRI doing the work for me, the volume control and the seemingly more user friendly remote itself. Now if application and program availability can just catch up I'd change my review to Excellent.

I purchased this to upgrade my existing Apple TV. It is much easier to search through the menus now and I love being able to use Siri to search for shows and movies. I also like that I am able to forward and rewind by voice command too. I haven't used it to play games yet, but I am definitely pleased with the upgrade.

Apple TV has come a long way from their first set of boxes. I put one at my house and one at my father's. He is not very tech savvy but is able to really enjoy the box. He was most excited about the ability to add game apps that the grandkids could play that aren't shooting games. Some of the apps are buggy (Plex won't show my entire library) and there are some I wish were in the Apple TV app store but aren't (Amazon Prime video, spotify) hopefully that changes in the future. I do like the ability to put things from my iPhone, iPad or laptop up on the screen to show family and friend and it serves as a great collaboration tool in our office at work. The remote works great but does slip into the couch cushions very easily. With Netflix and others starting to carry 4K content I wish Apple would have added the hardware to view 4K with this box.

Apple definitely took a step in the right direction. The new iOS is great and so is the App Store and being able to expand its capabilities. Only complaint is this should be 4K, but maybe in the next gen.

Love it. Idiot proof set up. Displays are great and being able to use the remote to control tv and sound bar is a nice feature. Only negative is the keyboard layout. Would recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this for my boyfriend and I, because we constantly watch Netflix off of my laptop, even though we have a large flat screen TV. We never had cable, because we never saw the need, but this has been an incredible purchase! We can stream all of our netflix TV shows without using my laptop, and in addition, we can now watch the Food Network, FX, ABC Family, HGTV, and so many more channels! Worth every penny.

There are plenty of great things about this Apple TV, but it doesn't quite live up to the lofty language that Apple used when launching the product. If you have a 3rd-generation Apple TV, think carefully about updating. I pulled the trigger because of two reasons: 1) the remote now turns on the Apple TV using Bluetooth, not IR, so you don't need line of sight to power things on, and 2) this latest model has a newer version of HDMI that allows for the Siri Remote to control your television's controls (volume, power, etc.). If you don't care about those two things, I'd recommend waiting another year.

I had an older Apple TV and this one blows it away. The amount of apps available is amazing and are growing at a great rate. The ease of navigating through the menus and the new remote are huge pluses!

Apple TV does a phenomenal job of merging multiple technologies into one simple, fluid device. My Netflix, Hulu, Hudl, Amazon, Beachbody apps are all connected through one remote control. (Amazon has to run through AirPlay - but still simple to do). As a coach, I use an iPad to airplay Hudl plays on a big screen tv with ease. It is highly functional for work and leisure. I'd recommend this to anyone that used a multitude of the apps listed above.

This new version the Apple TV is great. I liked our old Apple TV but this new unit has features which make it much better. Simpler to use remote, with Siri and volume controls for the TV, Apps able to be downloaded from the store and more versatility. I was very pleased to see Pandora for download (we enjoy having the music playing and pictures showing). Great product.

We have had this Apple TV for about 5 weeks now, and it has worked great. All you need to do is plug it into power and one cord to the TV. The even after 5 weeks we still have not had to recharge the controller. My favorite things about using Apple TV over the XBOX is the remote, it works great and makes it easy to navigate. I don't have to wait of the unit to boot up it is readily available. Also, when you turn Apple TV on or off it automatically turns your TV on or off so we are able to put all of the other controllers away. Another advantage is we were able to stream football games and the Superbowl. So far it has been great and I am considering getting another unit for the bedroom TV.

I've had a first-gen Apple TV for a while. I've thought it was neat, but didn't find much use for it. Occasionally, I would stream music or show some pictures, but that was about it. After reading reviews of this 4th Gen Apple TV I found a perfect use for it--as my main entertainment center device. There are two apps that I find essential (BTW, this thing has an app store!): The first essential is the Plex app. Using Plex gives me access to all my recorded TV shows, music, movies, that are hosted by a Plex server on my network. The Plex app is beautiful and smooth (and free). The second essential is called Channels. Using Channels I can tune to any cable channel from my HDHomeRun tuners to watch live TV. This is another beautiful app that just works. https://getchannels.com This app was very expensive and I was apprehensive, but I'm so glad I purchased it. Using these two apps I was able to completely replace the Media Center computer that sat at my television with the Apple TV. I replaced a very complicated Windows computer, with keyboard/mouse at the couch, with a sleek Apple TV and touch remote. Most importantly -- my wife is happy and can navigate the apps easily. Watching TV is no longer confusing, and she can find the movies and recorded TV shows she wants to watch with ease.

Why have I been waiting so long to purchase one of these!? It's simple and so convenient to use. The Siri enabled remote is the icing on the cake!

The next generation Apple TV offers marked improvements. Rechargeable Blue-Tooth Remote, down loadable Apps and Games from the App Store. Internal Memory for more storage. Improved picture quality and Siri voice control. All my clients love it and you will to. Changes, HDMI out only, no optical output with this new mode. This is a easy swap if you already have the older Apple TV. All connections are the same excluding the Optical output on the older model.

Very easy to use and set up. The Siri feature makes it easy to get what you want by talking to it. It has most apps I need except for Amazon. Good investment if you are into Apple products.

The new Apple TV is cool. There are a lot of stand alone apps like HBO and others. I'm hoping they add even more like Amazon Prime and The Blaze. Still learning how to use new control, somewhat of a sensitive "trigger" but I do like the added options (volume, 10 second forward/rewind, etc.)

Bought this over Amazon product because of connectivity with other apple products which I own. Unable to stream from Macbook pro. Connection defaults to bluetooth which does not apparently have enough throughput to support video playback on airplay. This makes the video completely unwatchable since it pauses for buffering every 2-3 seconds. No problem with airplay from phone or from ipad. This is disappointing since I chose this over Amazon for the connectivity. I actually have more content on Amazon. Also it is pitiful that there is still no Amazon app for Apple TV. At this point I regret paying $65 more for this product since I did not get the benefits that I thought I paid for. I am able to use airplay a bit better with WiFi instead of bluetooth, but this has become a real hassle to do.
