before this version of Apple TV I had the 2nd generation one, which was great and lasted me about 4 years with no problem. Needless to say I had high expectations purchasing this considerably more expensive next step. As with most Apple products, this being the first iteration of the new model (essentially anew product if you ask me due to all the new features) the biggest thing you get here is the potential for the future. Once developers really get comfortable with tvOS and start putting out some killer apps, the sky will be the limit. I can't wait. PS - although I must admit that I was disappointed that the old iOS Remote app no longer works with this product AND the decision for a single line of characters for the keyboard was weird and is pretty annoying to deal with.

love the apple tv second gen. Great apps and really easy to use and understand. works well with airplay. I really like how when I turn it on it automatically selects my TV input source.

Great product. Love the voice capability of entering information instead of awkward alpha/numerical entries for search, etc. Picture is great. It an Apple of course.

I love my Apple TV. Siri really makes searching much easier. The remote is the best. Of course, the setup is very straight forward. I would highly recommend the product to everyone.

Recently purchased this from my local Best Buy. It's so easy to set up. By pairing your phone to the Apple TV via Bluetooth, it auto set itself up on the network. The Siri remote is tricky to use but it's innovative. I can't think of another device that has a remote like this. Since my tv provider is DIRECTV, I am able to watch channels like A&E and EPSN without having to switch back to cable. I recommend this device to anybody that has an Apple device or is looking for a new streaming player.

If you had an Apple TV before you will love this nice Upgrade to the currant 3rd Generation Apple TV.Really easy to use and with the additions of Games and apps to use on your Tv .

Great product. Easy to use and works well all the time. Dictation is great and AirPlay is awesome. Highly recommended, especially to people already invested in Apple's ecosystem.

If you were a fan of the first Apple TV, then you'll love this one. With the addition to the App Store, the new remote, and all the fun games, this device is ideal for Apple fans.

Having all Apple products in the house it was just the time to complete the collection with an Apple TV. This device has all your movies and music plus apps (Plex, Netflix, Vudu) to complete your entertainment needs. It can project other devices by airplay onto your tv screen. The remote however could use some "grip". Very small to handle and not the easiest to maintain a grip on it. Very easy to grab it upside down and try to control it. Love the touch part of it and the Siri function. Very fast and a nominal storage for your apps. All in all it's a great product and glad we bought it.

I just purchased the new Apple TV after my Apple TV 2 and I'm loving it so far. I really like the new App Store and look. This looks like a great box for future apple Eco system.

I'll admit up front that I'm an Apple fan. This was an upgrade to an Apple TV 2nd Generation model. It's connected to a Panasonic flat screen plasma 1080p. Setup was simple. I didn't have to tell it which tv or sound bar. It automatically downloaded all my apps. I like the remote's voice recognition and trackpad. It eliminates or simplifies typing and search. Excellent picture. Much faster than my older model.

Dont waste your money on the Apple TV 3rd generation. This is the upgrade everyone has been waiting for. The addition of tvOS, Siri, and the App Store it is a major improvement.

We bought this item off of a recommendation of a friend. It is great for people with large movie collections. We love all the options available and that you can block younger viewers from being able to watch movies rated greater than what is recommended for their age level. It is very easy for non tech savvy people to use.

I have owned the past two generations of AppleTVs. I was hesitant to make the upgrade to the newest AppleTV, but I am so glad I did. Great onscreen interface, much quicker load times, and awesome aerial screen savers. I also own the Roku 4. While I love the access to additional content supported by the Roku 4 (Amazon, Vudu, Spotify, etc.), I have noticed my family members and I (an AV geek to his core) all consistantly use the elegant AppleTV interface over the content superior (and app based keyboard...come on Apple) of the 4K Roku 4. Just buy it (or both). Among the least expensive upgrades you can make to your AV experience.

If you have any experience with Apple products, you’ll know that they almost always work exactly as expected all the time. This Apple TV is no exception. The new remote is fantastic. The new OS is better than ever. I’ve had a handful of streaming devices and this one is easily the best. Especially if you already have Apple devices. The way it utilizes your iPhone when you need to type. The way it picks up where you left off on other devices. All great. If you’re thinking, “oh there’s no way it’s worth the extra money than a Roku, or FireStick, or Chromecast” let me tell you it 100% is.

I was always hesitant on picking up an Apple TV, although I had heard and read great reviews on them. This was the first generation of the product that I have purchased, so I cannot compare it to the previous models out there, but this one is certainly one that is well worth the money. I am an avid purchaser of movies and redeem the digital copy for each movie that offers it. I love that all of those digital redemption's that I have in my iTunes are available right through the device. I also love all of the other apps (Netflix, HBO GO, etc.) that you can use on the device. I use Netflix probably every other time that I use my Apple TV and the speed in which the app operates is amazing! Usually when you use the Netflix app on a blu ray player, your Smart TV, or gaming console, there is quite a load time that goes with it. Then, if you turn the device off you have to go back through the same process. Not with the Apple TV! As soon as the device comes out of sleep mode it brings you right back to where you left off in Netflix. If you use iTunes, which I believe most people do nowadays, this is certainly recommend picking an Apple TV up.

The new Apple TV is a great interface. Easy to hookup and operate. Integrates with TV's easily. Looking forward to all the enhancements on the latest Apple TV.

I had the gen 2 Apple TV for a long time at 720p and just recently purchased the Hisense 4K TV so I figured it was time for an upgrade. I picked up the new 32GB Apple TV and it's great. The interface is fast. The new remote took a little getting used to. It took a day or 2 to get comfortable with it but now that I'm used to the touch pad, I am very accurate. The voice control works well and is useful. I really like being able to manage the apps like iOS so I don't have a long list of apps on the screen that I'll never use as was the case with the previous version interface. Searching for a show pulls up results from different services like Hulu, Netflix and iTunes. The Aerial video screensavers are honestly really entertaining to watch and have in the background. Yes there is no 4K, but if you are invested in the Apple ecosystem and have a decent sized iTunes library, this is a solid upgrade from the previous Apple TV.

Has some bugs but I have faith in Apple fixing them. Otherwise as an owner of a roku and Fire tv. This is the best of the bunch! Great interface and Siri works like a charm!

Fast, clean, and apps! The interface is beautiful, and the unit's response is amazing. One thing that I loved is that when I turn it back on, the Apple TV resumes where I had stopped and I just have to press play. I was delighted to download the SpeedTest app, and check the speed I was getting on the Apple TV. HBO app is awesome! Great upgrade from the previous Apple TV generations. A must product for TV lovers!
