Apple does it again. Lots of fun to use, and I love having the ability to stream my favorite shows and movies directly from my iTunes.

If you ignore the fact that Amazon and Roku offer the better hardware and content then this is an acceptable streaming device. The lack of 4K at this price point when it is offered for less by the competition is a serious drawback. Although this is an Apple product and I'm sure the app devs will make this a great product as they populate the App Store. If you are heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem then this is the box for you. Otherwise save yourself some money and go with Amazon or Roku.

If you already have a 3rd generation AppleTV there is no need to upgrade unless you want the video games. As a player itself it does not offer much more to justify the price to upgrade. With that said, if you don't have an AppleTV, start with this one. My biggest pet peeve with this device is the sign on process for apps. The interface to select all of the characters in your username/email and password is very cumbersome and time consuming. The new remote and Siri support is the biggest improvement. This device still does not support Vudu or Amazon, so if you use those apps than a Roku is better for you.

Powers up to home screen much faster than previous models. Love the new remote and the ability to use Siri. Nice screen savers too.

I have the old 720p Apple TV and in comparison, this new generation Apple TV is bulkier. It is essentially like having 1.5 of the older Apple TVs. I would assume this is due to cooling the processor in this unit. I like the new remote which has a touchpad similar to what you would find on a MacBook trackpad and also the fact that it uses Bluetooth. No more bouncing the remote signal off the ceiling to contact your Apple TV behind your TV, and keep in mind that it uses a lightning cable to recharge. Great overall.

The new Apple TV with Siri remote is great! Runs smoother than the older model and has a dedicated App Store with a lot of fun apps!

I've been a long time Apple TV user and had the first model for 6-7 years. Decided to upgrade to the new Apple TV and it meets my expectations as well as going above and beyond. I was unsure how I felt about having Siri but after using that feature, I don't know how I could live without! It may be more expensive than other similar devices, but it is worth every penny! Hope this will last for another 6+ years!

New SIRI enabled remote control made Dad smile. Love the new appstore for the AppleTV - have access to many more applications now.

This is Apples move into a serious media center. It works well, is easy to setup and has great future capability. The thing to keep in mind, is this a new item and Apple tend to refine things over time. So it might be lacking a few items initially. The point of this system though is the App Store. A lot of the systems future capability will be accomplished through download apps and not Apple's development. If you require 4K video capability, I would recommend waiting as this unit does not have that. I suspect Apple will be updating the unit almost yearly, now that it is a true product and not a "hobby". With this in mind, I would expect 4K capability to be available after enough 4K content sources are available to create a large enough market.

The previous version of Apple TV was already good and so far this version is slightly better. It has the potential to be much better as apps are developed and features added. The remote is also a slight improvement.

Much better than the 1st/2nd/3rd gens. It's way faster in response to actions made. I love the Bluetooth remote and track pad. When I go to my purchase content it doesn't take forever to load anymore! Now I don't just always select all content, I'm actually using the genres. I love adjusting all rows instead of Apple choosing the first row. It's nice to just download what I use instead of hiding the apps.

Hanging out with the lady friend and decide you want to watch a movie? Know what you want to watch but don't feel like looking through Netflix, HBO GO, Showtime Anytime, Hulu, Crackel, FX and every other app ever developed to find it? This is exactly what you need. You hit the Siri button and say: "Hey Siri, look up Big Hero 6" and BAM! Siri works her magic, pulls up the movie then proceeds to tell you every app you can watch the adorable Bay-Max in action. Plus it does loads of other cool stuff, too.

Like the Siri and games on the Apple tv.Easy to skip forward or backward with voice commands. I wish it supports 4K and browser.

the new apple tv is much more advanced than the previous model. Seri is really easy to use. I recommend this item to everyone.

Augurs well for the future with improved Siri, faster chip and more capacity. Swipe feature of the remote is a welcome update.

My wife and I love the new trackpad on the remote. Also, they’ve added several more apps that can be downloaded.

Having iPhones in the house, I wanted to go with an Apple product for TV watching as we recently kicked our cable subscription to the curb. I've used Chromecast, Roku, etc., and even the old Apple TV, so I more or less knew what to expect with this purchase. However, this has so far been better than I expected. Excellent picture quality with HDMI connection, stable WiFi, and nowhere near the glitchy-ness and lag of other devices of this type. It's BIG step above the apps that are native in my Vizio smart TV--using Hulu or Netflix is much faster, more responsive, higher quality picture, and an all-around more pleasant experience with the Apple TV. And the new remote is fantastic. I'm not an Apple fanboy, either, for all I use an iPhone. If you're looking for an app-connected device for your TV, this is seriously the best platform out there...a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

All the apps I'm using have great speed with little or no problems and so many more choices then the other streaming devices
