Nice Improvements but lacking 4k and HDR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The new generation AppleTV is definitely more refined and much easier to set up if you have apple devices already. You can automatically put in all your account info without having to type on screen by pairing your phone to it. Enter password on phone or use thumbprint and boom, it's done. Lack of 4k resolution for a new product right now is disappointing but being a streaming box it probably doesn't matter, HDR (High Dynamic Range) is another thing it would be cool to have. This changes picture quality more than 4k alone in my opinion, I almost wish they'd spec HDR separately but understand why they can't.... and that is beside the point... If you are Apple-Centric buy this piece, don't skimp on getting the discounted older model. Ask Siri, she comes on this box as well!! Voice search for shows, etc. Nice.

Lag in mirror mode disappointing

But when mirroring my MacPro not through the iTunes program, video lags quite a bit. Otherwise, other Apple TV functions work well. I would recommend if the issue I mentioned is not critical.

Adult and kid friendly
