I have several 3rd generation and finally pulled the trigger to get the 4th generation. The app availability versus the 3rd generation is infinitely better. I am a PC person but prefer iTunes and the Apple TV for streaming and using media on my home network.

I had an AppleTV before, and i bought this one for another TV and to get Sling support. I like it, but it is frustrating to download some of the apps only to find that they are asking for money to view the content. That seems a little silly since I can view the content through the iPad app or online and just push it through the AppleTV to the screen. The remote is a little too sensitive.

Very easy to set up and use. Like that I can mirror my phone or iPad onto the tv.

Used the AppleTV for a clients boardroom TV. Allows them to quickly display PDF drawings and othe design data quickly without cables or other typical AV interconnect hassles. Only works with Apple devices unless you utilize a 3rd party app for a PC.

New 4th Gen Apple TV has been great. Very easy to set up and user friendly.

I absolutely love this streaming device. I have a Firestick as well, which I do enjoy. However, the Apple TV stays connected to my WiFi, whereas, my Firestick is constantly disconnecting. I also love the phone mirroring capabilities!

Much better than previous Apple TV. If your in the Apple ecosystem this is a great purchase, if you are using Google/Android it is still a great product but you may not be happy living in both worlds with Movie and television show purchases made through iTunes.

Works great, I upgraded from an older apple-tv unit. This one is faster and offers far more flexibility as it will scan thru all of your channels and finds them for you based on your watching habits from broadcast, cable, even premiums like HBO. I'm SOLD.

Great product. Adds quick easy access to many movies and tv shows. Love the ease of iPhone mirroring. Only downside I see is the small controller. Awkward in hand when trying to play any game based apps.

I opted out of cable boxes for the children's room and got this instead. It's perfect because they get their networks the same way, and can watch what they want when they want. Saves me for the one time purchase VS the addl cable fees for an addl box

Has nice features but using Siri to play movies sometimes causes the system to hang. We can navigate to the movie and start it immediately. The remote is too slick. We miss the old buttons. The lack of onboard storage is more than annoying. We've had to download movies to our phone and stream them to the TV.

I've been using the 3rd generation of Apple TV for several years and had no reason to upgrade other than wanting to. My only complaint is the touch pad is a bit sensitive and brings up options of you barely touch it. Not enough to give it any less than 5 stars.

Great product to use if you have an apple phone. Easy to use remote included.

Have had for a few yrs after friend recommendations and have not experienced any problems, but we got a roku last yr and it basically does the same thing for a fraction of the price. Nice because you can connect it to your phone though.

it has some extra features and internal memories. But for the purpose to stream, the extra money doesn't seem worthy it

Love this item. Works with my iPhone and my MacBook. It's way better than having cable. I got it because HULU has a new 39.99 sort of cable service with free dvr space and it works with Apple TV. I'm glad I got it because it saves me so much money!

Satisfied with purchase and goes well with other apple decices. Like the remote.

i held out for a while i had the gen 3 it did the job. but boy was i fooling my self waiting for the gen 4. i got a deal so it was worth it. you get to stream at 60 hrz vs the 30 the gen 3 would let you get. plus the fact that you can now download apps you can have this as its own entertainment box in a bed room like i did. no need for an extra cable box. just stream tv from apps.

Great for viewing your iCloud pics, movies etc., good apps to supplement your tv.

Been an apple fan for a long time. Held off buying the fourth gen Apple TV for a while now. Not needing to actually download apps from the App Store. But after some time had to buy it due to Hulu not supporting some shows. Love the new design on the remote.
