I have the old apple tv. This version only made me like that type of online entertainment more. I can stream like any other box, but with Apple TV the ability to AirPlay from any iOS devcie, or my macbook is a great addition!!!

What more needs to be said? It’s an Apple TV. Bought this generation to replace the older gen to take advantage of my streaming subscriptions. Works and looks great. Only negative is the newly designed remote. Very hard to get used to. I ended up buying the gaming controller and use that to navagate through the menus.

A very nce item for the whole family, kids and adults. The most interesting part is that you can install games and use the remote control as a joystick. The remote itself has a sensor so you can play interactive games as well.

Had the 3rd gen Apple TV and loved it, I needed a new one for my living room and decided to get the newer one for the TVOS new interface and be able to stream Apple Music. All in all it's pretty much the same as the previous, unless your into the games thing, I'm not, prefer my PS4 for that. Remote works great, SIRI is a little hesitant at times with the whole "what was that?". If your looking for an Apple TV might as well go for this one, I don't recommend 128GB unless your seriously into gaming on TVOS ....

The Apple TV works like it is advertised and I think going forward networks will go to a la carte items. I would prefer this and devices like Apple TV will make this happen with search engines like Siri. This is one of my favorite functions on Apple TV. I am sure there are other devices with a similar function, but I do like Apple products.

get ready to walk away from cable. get your showtime through Hulu, not apple. it is about $3 less expensive per month. the voice search is better than OK, but not perfect, yet. also, really fast if you have a wired connection.

Everything is so great about this product. Great App Store with variety of apps. If there is one thing that I have to complain it would be the size of the remote. As classy as it is, it easily get lost inside be couch pockets.

This 4th generation unit was an upgrade for me from a 3rd generation one. I really appreciate the addition of the App store so I can add apps to my AppleTV. However I'm not yet sold that the new bluetooth Siri-enabled remote is an upgrade. I find it touchy to use (I over shoot the mark sometimes when trying to select something). And some of the navigation on screen is less straightforward than before. However I grant that most of this will get better with experience so I chalk it up to user complacency. Still no 4K so I actually moved my 3rd gen unit to my new 4K TV because I was able to get some of the newer apps on the TV itself and put the new 4th gen device on my older TV that was missing some of the things I wanted to access.

The 4th gen hasn't brought THAT much new but the remote, games and apps does make it an easy choice to upgrade. But the simplicity of the install and set up was very impressive. Bring your iOS device within range and all past AppleTV settings, including logins and passwords are transferred over. I was up and running in less than 5 minutes!

I like this Apple TV. I had older version also..it easyly mirror my iPhone , you tube is gr8. It allows u download apps u like..older version didnot have that feature..I gave 4 stars because price is expensive .. Older version was $99 when I bought it. This is $149.. Unless u find in sale.. Sometime they sale for $125 when it is on sale..

I was very happy with the original Apple TV but wished there was a way to have a better remote. This version not only give you this it added other nice features for viewing and communicating with the home network and internet.

The new Apple TV has a great "touch" remote, Siri, cool new tv interface, and great (easy to navigate) content on the App Store.

The new remote with Siri voice command, is what this new version is all about. Really like the swipe function on the remote. Bought one as a gift. Liked it so much, bought one for myself! If you have other apple devices, you will better appreciate what Apple TV offers.

I have had Apple TV since its inception. i was not planning on upgrading so soon, but I went ahead and purchased with the gift cards I received. I like the new Apple TV. Better lay out than the old. My kids love that you can play games. We have been using Siri a lot more than I expected. A solid product and we are happy with the purchase.

At this price point, it is far more expensive than a Chromecast or Roku or other streaming sticks. But this is more than a streaming stick. The Siri enabled remote makes searching for movies, tv, YouTube, etc very easy. You can also download apps such as games, sports apps, and much more. However, just because an app is available for the iPhone does NOT mean that it is available for Apple TV. The app list is somewhat limited, but growing. All of your favorites are there though including HBOGo, Netflix, and YouTube. The picture on my 4K UHD TV is spectacular! Even the screen saver is beautiful! I could sit and watch that for several minutes! Overall, it is everything you would expect of an Apple product. Well built and easy to use.

This product is so much better than the original Apple TV it is a total evolution of something much much better so much easier to utilize. The graphics seem to be so much better also. The only thing I miss is the podcast app

Hulu doesn’t buffer as much especially when streaming live TV. Streaming live TV using the fire stick was nightmare. The Apple TV streams smooth and the picture quality is amazing. One big negative is the remote. The touch pad is a pain. Very hard to control. Would’ve given five stars if it weren’t for the remote.

I had a gen 2 apple TV and upgraded to the latest. And this is the best product you could buy. Only go for the 4K model if you have a 4K TV, or plan on getting one. Otherwise, the 1080p picture is perfect.

I'm so glad that I waited for this one. It runs smooth and the new features are so useful not to mention with the Apple TV can now be updated through TV OS and most importantly the App Store which has tons and tons of apps.
