We love our new Apple TV. Very user friendly and love having Siri to help and the touch remote

First thing, I bought the great deal of Apple TV 4th generation on Best Buy in which I got game controller worth 50$ as free. When you compare all the features with FireStick and Chromcast, all features are same except major 2 things. One is you can cast anything on TV whether it’s on web browser or any app or any device. You can mirror your iPhone or any Apple device to big screen with just one click. That’s awesome. In Chromcast, you can cast video from app or chrome browser only. Second is if you have smart HomeKit, Philips Hue bulbs etc, you can Control it from another corner of the world. It doesn’t require to be connected on same WiFi connection. Apple has synchronized everything with Apple ID. I guess this feature is also not available in FireStick and Chromcast. Although Apple remote looks really nice with small and slick design, unfortunately it connects with Apple TV via Bluetooth. So, it’s frequently disconnected or you have to keep it in range in order to operate it. But Apple has included in built remote in iOS 11 which makes no use of Apple remote. Gaming experience is also awesome when you cast iPhone screen on big screen and play the game. There is negligible lag between audio and video when you play the game. Last thing, it seems little expensive compared to other products, but definitely worth it. You just love it. Find good deal on BestBuy and buy it from here.

I love my new apple tv! I already had owned the generation model before this new one, and it worked fine! I decided to use that one for my work office and purchase the newer one for home. Love the updates, the new layout, and the remote, with the Siri feature are awesome! I love the trackpad feature, which makes the cumbersome task of scrolling across the keyboard much easier. Buttons are well placed......love it!

The new remote with Siri and a redesigned interface makes this a worthwhile purchase, even if you have an older Apple TV. The voice command and other new remote features are great. The app store makes it easy to control which apps you want displayed. Great improved product!

there. Two software updates since I bought this. Apple remote app now works with the Apple TV. I like the remote control pad and setup by using an iOS device. made it quite easy . I didn't have t manually enter my apple store and wifi settings I like that it doesn't come with a lot of 3rd party apps installed. I hope for some Nintendo games one day. Like others if you have a Gen 3 , I don't know if I'd upgrade but if purchasing for 1st time, I'd get the 32gb Hope this helps

So, after 3 years Apple finally released a major upgrade for their Apple TV. I have had an Apple TV since the first model came out. This new model is now a combination Streaming player and video game console. Now the Apple TV has it's own app store and Siri for voice searching. The new remote with it's swipe capabilities is fantastic! It makes it so much easier to search and fast forward through recordings.

Overall, I really liked this Apple TV. It was easy to use, had a decent app store (although not all apps are available to download), and the remote was pretty neat (loved having the volume button on the remote and not having to constantly grab my tv remote to when I already had the apple remote handy). The only issue with this Apple Tv was the crashing. It crashed at least once a day, and would freeze multiple times a day. We also have the 3rd gen Apple Tv and have never had a single issue. The hard drive must complicate things. Overall, if you've never had an Apple Tv, you will love it!

Apple TV is easy to st up and offers 1080p resolution. There are hundreds of apps in the App Store including games, movies and familiar apps like Utube that can be viewed on your big screen. The new remote is great and Siri can be your personal assistant.

Finally a decent box top streaming device. I have tried Roku, Sony, original apple tv and Amazon's first offering. This one gets it right..Siri commands and live streaming are beneficial. You can buy HBO for $15/month and stream all of their content directly to the box. I presently have ATT for that and will be cutting the cord now that I can. Greatest user interface of set-top streaming boxes.

I went from a gen 2 to this. I love the interface and remote, especially for some specific apps I also use on other devices. Quick and simple set up, especially since I could use my phone.

I have been an Apple TV owner since the second iteration of the product, and this is by far the best Apple TV that apple has made. I also own the Amazon FireTV stick and have a panasonic smart TV, and there is no comparison between the products: Apple TV is far superior. Applications are easy to use and download on the Apple TV, and the voice controls work well.

Finally an aTV that can have many apps and even games. Its a sweet machine if you own a mac because then you can use Xcode and side load apps like Kodi and emulators. A MFI controller makes things even better as an emulator machine. There are many apps for free or a low price to use on the new atv yet the app store is cumbersome. Siri remote is Ok but can easily break and they cost $70 to replace! The next firmware update will bring BT keyboard support and new apps are getting made everyday for it Cons: No UV app yet, no 4K, no optical output, no amazon video app.

I bought this knowing that some of the features would not be available right away (Podcast mainly), but once I got it home and linked it with my iTunes on my Mac Mini, the podcast showed up under my computer. The interface is smooth and the glass remote, it does an few minutes to get use to, works really well. A nice feature is when I hit the power on the remote, it turns on my TV and puts it on the correct input (it changes to the correct input if the tv is already on). The only downfall is the lack of the Amazon Prime App, but there are rumors it is coming soon.

Very easy install, very easy setup, and excellent quality

The improvements made to the new AppleTV are great. I love the new remote and that it can be charged via the lightening cable. No more trying to track down the weird batteries that were used in the earlier version! I also love that you have more control over which apps are installed on the device. The apps store was a great addition. All in all we are very pleased with the new AppleTV

I purchased this thinking I would be using it more. Instead, we ended up returning since the price just seems outrageous. The only benefit of the new Apple TV to the old one is the option to use Siri, to play games, and to load additional apps. We ended never needing any of these functionalities. If you don't use any of that, I don't think it's wise to have this device.

I have the original Apple TV and decided to buy this as an upgrade. Picture quality seems higher. You do have to download any apps you want. Whereas original Apple TV came with default apps, and didn't let you add more. The good news is the there are lots more apps, and more will come in time. There are free games. The tennis game is quite addictive. It's really clever how you can use the remote asa a tennis racket. New remote takes getting use to but you can do more with it. I can see why some might want to wait until there are more apps but I'm glad I upgraded.

I purchased the new Apple TV on sale. I mainly use it to stream ESPN3 and CBS Sports. It streams both apps well. Plus I can air play some of my IPad games. It is fast and both sound and picture are in 1080p. I have it hard wired to the router so there are no issues with buffering. It's a keeper.

Just light years ahead of the last generation. I am happy to have this new apple tv. Wonderful you don't have to point the remote at IR because I have the box hidden and before it used to have to sit on a shelf for the remote to hit it. The siri option is actually way more handy than siri on a cell phone. I recommend this. Wish they kept the optical port, but bluetooth audio is fine.

Apple has done it again, the new AppleTV delivers on everything they said it would and more, The expanded number of apps and the new remote with Siri and the expanded gaming make this a wonderful product for just about everyone One of my favorite features is the mirroring for iPads and iPhones allowing me quite easily to read emails and do social marketing on a much larger screen ,
