faster than last generation and more apps, some have freezing issues

Great New Remote and Quality. The speed and response has improved.

I upgraded from the Apple TV Gen 2 to this latest edition. There are so many new features that makes this upgrade well worth it. And got it on sale so can't beat the price either. Having Siri integration on the Apple TV seemed a little useless to me what it was announced, but now that I own one, having Siri is awesome. You can just say watch ESPN, and she will close any app that you may be in, open the Watch ESPN app, and start the Live TV. You can also use Siri to dictate when Searching for an App, or when typing login credentials, or just searching for a movie/tv show. The App Store is also a great addition. Coming from the Gen2, where you were stuck with the Apps that were provided, its great the have the ability to select and download the apps that you want, and just having the high number of available apps. The layout is pretty similar to the Gen2, but I like the look of it much better, and the movements are much more smoother. Overall, i would recommend the latest Gen to anyone, even if you already own and older Gen of the AppleTV.

pretty much plug and play with a great interface, very easy to use

A bit of a chore to set up and requires an iOS device. Nice remote. Guided installation. Lots of options in the app store. However, not sure it does much more that the old device, and has only a HDMI out. The old device had a TOSLINK optical which is great if you are using it to getting music to your stereo from your iDevice.

This product is a winner. It took about 5 minutes to setup out of the box and has been fantastic to use since. I love that full console games are available to play as well. I can really see this becoming another outlet for families to play games and deepening its place in the home.

Had the previous version of Apple TV and upgraded, i was impressed with the remote. Having to download the apps like my iphone was a change. Would like to have some of the apps that I have on my iPhone, and not available on Apple TV like Amazon Prime music. All things considered I am still happy with the new Apple TV and glad I bought this new version.

Much faster than the older one and great control with new remote

My daughter mentioned this item earely in the Christmas season. I didn't know anything about it. I asked some questions but dropped the idea. While shopping in Best Buy I decided to ask about it. The guy brought it out from the storage area. It was apparently the newest model. My 27 year old daughter loved playing with it! She had it set up in no time!

Really neat interface and great picture. The remote even controls my television audio--automatically. Not sure how it knows how to do this. Really like how it connects seamlessly with other Apple products (iPhone, laptop, etc.)

Very clear image. Easy to use and loaded with many viewing options. Portable and you can take it with you anywhere. Great investment for the money. Many funny games for the whole family to enjoy. We highly recommend this product.

High price but great product, wish you could store movies on it.

Apple TV is easy to use, intuitive, and provides great apps to use in its player. The Siri feature is great to find movies. It recently added Sling (a TV streaming app) , but lacks the Amazon app, and Fandango Now app. Though it does lack the actual app for them, one can use the apps on one's phone to stream it to Apple TV (a quick fix).

This was a gift to my nephew for a BIG birthday. He was very pleased. He had heard about the Apple TVs but had no idea how many features it now includes. Doing the installation and learning to use the features has a learning curve, but he is finding it a great addition to his screen time and is using many more features than he had thought he would.

This is my second apple tv, and i dont know how to feel about the new gen apple tv. I kind of like the old remote but then again your apple device ( iphone, itouch) could be use as remote. It's very annoying to set it up with only the new apple tv remote. Looking foward more apps for it as well.

This new model has major improvement from the older model. The remote control is one of it kind. The price is a little high though.
