Apple obviously wants to keep competition off their device, which in the end makes the device itself lackluster for the user. If you stream a lot, you'll still need another device to get all of the apps you want. I'm sure a new Apple TV is on its way to meet the 4K expectation users now have. So if you can wait, I'd recommend that.
