Nice update to Apple TV

I decided to get the new version (since you can't just update the original one). The installation went well although I didn't know how to work the remote. I didn't realize you have to press down on the upper half to make a selection from the virtual keyboard.

Fun for everyone

After playing with it at the store and talking to a best buy sales rep I took the plunge. I don't regret it! It streams so much faster than previous versions and siri integration make it easy to search for movies and tv shows. No more trying to type out your search with a small remote. Games are a plus!

Apple TV 4th generation, it is OK

For instance, the touch pad is too sensitive and sometimes drives me crazy when I want to select an app. Also, I still don't find the trick of how to rewind a movie as easy as my old apple TV, the manual says that I have to keep pressing the left side of the trackpad, but pretty much this action stops the movie instead of rewind it. Siri works well, but I was expecting better features.

I just wish it had Amazon and Slingbox apps available for it. My kids like the games available on it, but I haven't found them to be all that worthwhile. My family uses this mostly for Netflix and Hulu. It's unfortunate, as there are much cheaper options available if that's all you will use. It the ability to mirror from my iPhone that sold me on this over competitive solutions.
