We had the Apple TV (1st generation) and wanted to upgrade. This was everything we wanted. You can not only watch everything you could on the first generation Apple TV but now you can also Play games. My only complaint is with our old Apple TV you could lock each channel individually. It seams that with the current Apple TV OS you can no longer do that.

I have had previous versions of Apple TV and this one is not that much better. VERY disappointed actually. While it does allow you to connect to your home iTunes library, the UI and search options remind me of the way computers used to look like 20 years ago! I mean really Apple?? AND if you use Siri to do anything, IT DOES NOT INCLUDE YOUR HOME DEVICE. For instance, if I ask Siri "Please show me Tom Cruise movies", it will only show films from the iTunes store....not anything from my home library. This was kind of the main reason I bought it, to have control over my home library. Even if you ask Siri to do something specific to your library such as "Show me playlist "late night favorites".." it will reply with "I'm unable to do that". Pretty much for everything I wanted it to do...that is the reply. Sucks really.

This is my 2nd purchase of the Apple TV for the house. You don't need to have with wifi for it to work! Just found out after I cancelled service which is a bonus, saving extra money. Only bad thing is the audio and video seems to be out of sync and I would have to keep rebooting. Bestbuy told me to return to Apple instead of them even if I bought just a month ago :/

Great product and I enjoyed the store and the games that are available. The remote control is awkward to hold when trying to use the touch pad feature. I have not found it to be as useful as a imagined or as it could be. I use the old remote to scroll and the remote app on my phone for games. I do wish that the Device would work in 2160 dpi instead of the 1080 dpi.

Much easier than previous versions but has a tendency to get glitchy.

I had bought this to replace my older generation apple tv that did not support some on line streaming services, when I purchased the new apple tv it worked great but the on line services I wanted to stream were not of good quality that the apple tv could overcome so I returned it as it became of no use. It may be a wonderful product for others, just not me

It's ok. I like the voice feature. The mouse is very sensitive.

Love the idea that I can use this to project the view from my iPad, Macbook or iPhone to my TV. I use it when my friends or family visit to watch movies or go through photos from any of my Apple devices on the large screen. Great buy

I bought the Apple TV to eliminate the degredation of the image when casting stuff to my television. I was disappointed in finding out the image was the same, whether I was using my casting app or the Apple TV to watch movies. The remote control was the main benefit I received from the purchase.

The version is very cool.I like the apps and the sleek new remote!

The ONLY downfall of Apple TV is the resolution. If you're not a resolution junkie, Apple TV is easily the most flexible rewarding tv experience available. Siri and apps add a nice touch and good wifi speeds make it a pleasure to watch.

I really like that I can stream from apple devices to my big screen.

I just bought mine but been using my friends for the past week and well I gave in and got one! Sure I have a smart tv but it's just more convenient when you can have it all in one place and able to work with it off your iPhone or MacBook.

Apple TV has a ton of features and gives you a better tv experience

I like everything about the new Apple TV. The swipe mode helps go thur menus quickly. If I did have anything bad to say would be that it is pretty easy to swipe on accident while just moving the remote back to the coffee table. Very small issue.

Good product. Apple TV is bulkier than previous generation. Software is good, but I believe it needs polishing. Software from previous Apple TV was by far more stable than this. Control is 'meh'... Overall, I would say buy if you don't have one, just wait for a price drop or a discount before doing it. Keep the old Apple TV working while you can in the meantime.

I am blind and have a hard time with the cable/dish menus, trying to find a show, etc. This product is perfect for people with vision impairments! It works with my IPhone and I can find any show, anytime! I highly recommend this product.

Great way to enhance regular TV. Easy way to mirror Apple devices :)
