I bought this to replace my existing 1080p ATV, It's a nice product, but I don't really like the new light-colored interface. I think the latest ATV has tons of potential due to its dedicated App store, but I also think they should have stayed with a black background for the interface, therefore one less star. Other than that, it's a good product.

I have always had and enjoyed the Apple TV since it first came out. Now I get to have SIRI's assistance to get where I want to be fast. There is the option now to add apps to the screen too. Very interesting. It is good to upgrade.

While researching various devices to see what would have the best capabilities for what I was looking for (streaming) I've found this to be the best product. The remote is fairly easy to handle once you get used to it (think: mouse) and sometimes the apps freeze (only twice since purchasing in January), so overall I've been happy with my purchase.

We have a 3rd gen we've used for years and wanted to purchase another. Went with this mode thinking we would have some minor upgrades but were pleasantly surprised at all the great features. Pros: -Siri (voice command) enabled search -Able to add specific apps you use (comes without apps installed, you simply add from App Store) -Remote functions greatly improved -Remote auto syncs to control tv volume and power (most models) Cons: -Certain apps we want aren't available, at least yet (i.e. Spotify)

Owned one of the older generations of the AppleTV and was skeptical about whether this would be worth it. After using it for a couple of days, I definitely noticed how much of a difference the app store has. Watching WatchABC and other shows on the AppleTV has never been easier. Only con is that I wish there were more apps but that'll come with time.

This Apple TV works better than the last two generations. I like the feel and ease of the remote and fluidity of the movement translating to tv. I wish we could connect and external hard drive to it but oh well maybe next version.

The purchase of my Apple Tv - 32gb (4th Generation - Latest Model) - Black was a great buy, great buy. I can now watch & control my Nest cams with my apple TV after downloading the free Nest app. I can now watch my DirecTV Now streaming service which is only supported via Apple TV 4th generation. My new Apple TV can also sync and control my 65' Curved Samsung TV, and Samsung sounds bar from three remote into One. And Sri is now integrated with the 4th generation Apple TV. Until I purchase a smart tv, the apple tv lets me access online programming in a user friendly way. I purchased the older version which works great. Not sure if the newer version is worth extra money unless you are an expert user.

Fantastic remote accompanied by easy setup and huge list of apps for all ages, this is my best electronic purchase in quite some time.

I have experience with Xbox 360 and One, PS4, Chromecast and FireTV... The others had gotten better than the previous Apple TV, but this model beats all of them in terms of usability, speed, and available *quality* apps (I'm looking at you, Roku and your thousands of useless apps). The new remote is great, HDMI-CEC or HDMI+ is nice as it can control basic TV functions, and it can use IR to control volume on older sets (which it identifies automatically). Overall, it is a nice, small, fast and slick device.

This Apple TV works great especially for those of us located in a rural area! I had Roku and ALWAYS had a problem connecting to Netflix or buffering. For a rural area - out in the woods without access to DSL or cable - this is a relatively cheap way to go for entertainment. I can do just about anything on my IPad and "AirPlay" it on my TV. Not to mention, Netflix plays so much better on the Apple TV and when it does buffer it does it quicker and gets on with the movie. I've read were some people were disappointed about not being able to play movies from Amazon on it but it can be done through an IPad using "AirPlay". I'm not a "Mac" or "Apple" die hard........but slowly I can see myself becoming one! So much potential with the products especially when they do communicate with each other.

I have been looking at getting one of these for quite a while and finally decided to get one once the cane up with the newest version. It is easy to use and I would recommend this to anyone that wants to do streaming television.

I used Apple TV mostly for AirPlay. It connects to my TV and once setup for AirPlay (extremely easy) I can project videos from my iOS devices -- such as iPhone or iPad -- to the Apple TV which displays it in the TV. With this newer generation there is less drops and the added bonus of having native apps!!! Previously I use Airvideo app on my iOS device to watch my movies then use AirPlay to project it to the screen. With this gen. there is a native Airvideo app for the Apple TV!!! No need to airdisplay it.

I had a first gen Roku XS before this, and honestly the Roku had more channels/apps. I'm sure just like with iPhone, developers will fill in the gaps. I do think the remote is stylish, but way too small. The Roku remote just fits the hand better. Picture quality is great, and I am excited about the fact that it will integrate with Apple HomeKit.

I've had earlier versions of the AppleTV and love them, so this one is just expanding on the love for AppleTV, with more features, etc. AppleTV rocks, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for streaming movies, etc.

I suppose I should start this review by saying that I am a hardcore Apple fan. My electronics are Apple. So I bought this knowing that it would work seamlessly with all of my devices. (I also knew I would like it because I have the previous generation.) I have had a few streaming devices before transitioning to the Apple TV. I had the first generation Roku and a Roku 3, as well as a Samsung Blu-Ray player with streaming capabilities. These were all great at watching Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc. But they failed miserably at seamlessly transmitting media from my electronic devices onto the TV. I had cables--HDMI to my computer. But it was a pain to hook it up and sit on the floor next to the TV if I wanted to watch YouTube videos. (I know, third world problem) This is the only thing that works with my devices. And to me it is worth it. ALSO, this generation surpasses the previous one. I LOVE that there are so many more apps that can be downloaded and that the remote is essentially a trackpad. To me it is more user friendly--well worth the extra money. But as I said before, I am an Apple fan. So take my opinion as you will. I will say, however, that I hate that I cannot stream Amazon movies. The fact that Apple and Amazon can't play nicely together is an annoyance and petty, if you ask me, but I digress. I still have my Blu-Ray player that works well for Amazon Prime movies, and considering this is the only streaming player that allows me to screen mirror my phone, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This is an upgrade from the appleTV version one. After upgrading to a smart tv this was a no brainer. Together make navigating so much easier and now I dont have to have a seperate conputer just for the Itunes

What more needs to be said? It’s an Apple TV. Bought this generation to replace the older gen to take advantage of my streaming subscriptions. Works and looks great. Only negative is the newly designed remote. Very hard to get used to. I ended up buying the gaming controller and use that to navagate through the menus.

Love my new apple tv! The touch pad took a little getting used to but no biggie. You can download games and apps too! And, if you're upgrading from an older version apple tv, you can still use your little silver remote with this one. Great for my husband who was having difficulty with the new remote. Plus, that gives you an extra remote when one of the little boogers disappears down a cushion. I also used the existing hdmi cord and power cord from my old apple and just switched out the unit.

I love the Apple TV. It has some limitations, but it's a great device. PROs: -The Apple remote has a trackpad and voice command which makes navigation seamless -Airplay -It's fast and works well with other Apple devices -Easy to set up CONs: -Remote doesn't allow you to switch inputs, so you have to use your TV's remote to switch between BluRay or Xbox -There's no Amazon Prime Video app. But you can still use Airplay to watch Amazon content ***Favorite free Apps: Pluto TV, NBC, Crackle
