I use the Plex app to stream my collection of ripped Blu-rays and standard DVDs. Performance is considerably better than the 3rd generation Apple TV and really highlights how dated the processor and software on that device have gotten. AirPlay is a big perk if you have other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad or Mac) that you want to wirelessly stream to a TV. If not then this probably isn't a great investment over a Roku, which doesn't have a bias towards any specific services like the iTunes store.

Had an old apple tv but this new one has some much needed improvements and apps. Would be nice if they offered some others like sling tv.

I owned the first version of the black Apple TV model and it served me well. I bought this latest model to have one in another room. I really like the ability to download and use apps. The addition of Siri is also very nice.

It is easy to set-up. It is easy to learn the functions. We had the last apple TV and enjoyed it, and find this one to be great as well!

I was told by all my friends that this was the streaming box to get and they were all correct! Get Apple TV. It's the best.

Love that you can download apps now! Unfortunately though it didnt sync with my phone, so I had to manually enter all my passwords and usernames with the remote for all the apps. Took quite some time. Great product though!

Faster, icons and apps are better arranged, screen savers are awsome, air play connects easier and faster entry with siri.

I love the upgrade Apple did on this. Surprisingly, much better than the 3rd generation. I like how you can pick your own apps now too.

I got this for Christmas and i enjoy this everyday. I like that you can view all of the movies and tv shows that you paid for on iTunes.

The Apple TV allows me to experience much more than just broadcast television and we with ease of use and a very high level of quality.

If you're an Apple user you will love it, If you're not you will still love it. I like the remote but it's very small and easy to lost.

This is a big step up from the previous model. Lots of apps and i am sure there will be lots more, but has apps for all major tv channels and sports to streaming media as well as some games. You can play video on your iphone, ipad, or mac and stream it to your tv as well which is a really cool feature. If you own apple products you will want this.

The new(er) Apple TV is a significant upgrade from the last/previous generation. The resolution has increased from 720p to 1081p--a noticeable difference. The touch pad controls on the remote and the inclusion of Siri are very useful--and cool--features. The integration with computers on your home network is nice as well. My biggest--maybe my only--complaint is that Apple does not allow Amazon video service to be part of the package--which ALMOST caused bye to not purchase the device. Overall, I'm satisfied.

This is my third Apple TV system,and all my family loved we can streaming movies tv shows YouTube and many more apps !!!!

I upgraded my 3 year old Apple TV for this model, not because I had to but because I liked the features on the new one and it's great!

This is an excellent device we are considering canceling our direct tv service.. We can stream from out Apple Mac books and phones..

Apple TV is great! I love the new interface and Netflix app specifically on this model, and if you have a MacBook or iPhone and like sharing content, the supported AirPlay is an amazing feature. Wirelessly streaming content from Apple devices works great and is much more convenient than having to plug into cords, especially in a home theater.

I own the previous version and was satisfied with it. I purchased this one to have it on the other main TV we watch. I think it is a big upgrade from the old version. I like the Siri function and the ability to turn on the TV and control volume from the remote because we r constantly losing the TV remote. I use it mostly for Hulu and Netflix. I have a ton of music purchased on Itunes so its nice to acces that as well. I was previously using my blueray player to access hulu and netflix. This is way better!

My new Apple TV's are awesome! Easy to use, provides access to great content, and integrates into our Apple infrastructure seamlessly.
