Where do i start. Yes this box definitely looks amazing on Spec sheet and yes its very fast and UI is nice and fluid. Has HDR and Dolby Vision but here is when the drawbacks come in at. Also currently missing Dolby Atmos. At this price point you would expect the device to be almost perfect, yet its not the case. When you set up Apple TV it auto detects your TVs specs. So be it 4k SDR, 4k HDR, 4k Dolby it picks one and its a done deal. Lets say it picked 4K HDR, then everything you play will be converted to HDR, even plain content. You might think this is awesome but your wrong. In most of the cases the picture become worse then it is in SDR. Same is true when content has Dolby vision and is downmixed to HDR. Why not just allow TV to decide which signal its receiving and pick Dolby, HDR, or just plain SDR. This even messes with Netflix and its 4K content, because the files cant play in their right format. Not to mention YouTube 4K content doesnt work as apple limits all the codecs support to mp4, mov files. This also puts a limit on Plex which is a service to stream your online content. Apple cant Direct Play or Direct Stream anything which causes major buffering with 4K content. For the price this box is very broken for enthusiast movie watchers. Unless you plan on sticking only to iTunes Movies this box is not for you. My LG C7 might not have crazy fast processor like Apple TV but at least it plays everything i throw at it.

This is my first Apple product and I couldnt be happier. Many of my movies on Itunes upgraded to UHD so I could stream them in 4k which I didnt have the capability of doing in any other capacity. Worth every penny

Works great especially if you own alot of apple contant and use other streaming contant through places like Hulu or Sling.

I am a TiVo user still ya I know but it’s better then the Charter boxes. I was having issues with Plex playing correctly thru TiVo and I needed a solution. In steps Apple TV 4K. Went from waiting a full minute for my media to start to it instantly with the Apple TV. Easy setup and use! Would highly recommend!

Still the best interface for streaming subscription services and local content off your NAS. Bypasses all the crappy android and tizen in-tv interfaces and ads. Apple ecosystem is a plus (airplay, HomePod, iPhone, iPad support). Decent remote, very easy to use.

This product is only good if you don't have a gaming console to already provide the streaming services already available by the already other products you already own. Bought this for my girlfriend who has LG SmartTV and their app store does not have full coverage of streaming services. Hence, the need for this. Otherwise, not necessary. Picture quality and responsiveness of apps is seamless! What else would you expect for Apple Product? Gave it 4 stars cause in world where these services are already offered through already owned products, it simply is not necessary.

Works seamlessly with your Apple devices-makes easy work of streaming everything from your personal photos and videos as well as other content. Or by downloading apps can use without other devices too. A little pricey but sooooo user friendly if you are in the apple ecosystem

Apple TV 4K is the perfect addition to any 4K TV. It's extremely easy to use, works flawlessly 99% of the time, and has excellent build quality. My only negative is the touch pad on the remote is a bit sensitive so trying to skip commercials or go forward 1-2 minutes can be a bit tricky. Besides that, I love it.

Just like my other Apple TV, but 4K. Very nice images & nice to have all my movies on iTunes in 4K now. Many are even hdr

It is a good operating system but the product is too expensive. Also the remote is not the most user friendly.

I've been using the Apple TV to stream videos and other files for a few years. It is the simplest way to watch movies purchased from iTunes as well as to listen to music. There are also several other apps that will work with the Apple TV as well. The Apple TV is better than Chromecast and FireStick by far.

Great product and upgrade from the original Apple TV. Remote is a little sensitive but I think there is a setting for that can be adjusted. Only other issue was that they removed the optical outlet so connecting a sound at is challenging. Overall extremely happy.

Another quality Apple product. Arrived in the standards high quality packaging. Very easy to setup and use. The touch pad on the remote makes for a much better experience because it allows one to scroll through menus, movies, music, etc. much faster than the original click-wheel remotes.

Great interface. Easy setup. I ended up not needing it since my new tv had all the streaming embedded, however.

I bought one for me new 4K tv and love it. With more streaming options on it. I will be buying another on for my office.

The remote is my biggest turn off. Use the control pad like a mouse pad. Takes a little time to get used to it. If you pick it up and push a corner of it by accident the language can change on you or turn on caption. The unit itself is okay. Honestly not really worth what I paid for it. Only bought it for Spectrum cable app. I do lose wifi signal to it once in a while but it comes right back. Would give it a 3 1/2 stars but cant do that.

Picture quality is amazing and the layout is great. If you have an iphone, it's a must have because you can control your tv with your iphone control center. It's super easy to mirror the screen of your iphone or ipad too! If you don't already have apple products it might be too expensive for what it is.

I've had a few issues with this product. I feel that it's probably just a little under powered. I am using and streaming the cutting edge of technology, HDR, Dolby Vision and Atmos, 4K, and all on a 70" OLED TV. Considering the age of this console now, I think it's getting a little overwhelmed by all of it. It often lags or just restarts itself, especially when trying to wake it from screensaver mode. I really hope they release a new model with the new A series Chips.

Love Apple TV and the 4K upgrade was so worth to me. Especially with more audio codecs available as well, Seamless and also appreciate being able to put my phone to it to get signed in and everything super easy. Plus open box pricing makes it even better.
